What initially drew us to this house was the fact that it was such a lovely spacious home and one that enjoyed a superb position on what is probably the most desirable road in Coventry, says the owner. The house was originally built in 1974, but since purchasing it in 1991 we have made quite considerable improvements and in my opinion it s now absolutely beautiful and ready for the new owners to move in, put their own stamp on and enjoy. Shortly after purchasing the property we built a large extension, which gave us a fantastic games room on the ground floor and two further bedrooms on the first floor, but apart from that quite major structural change, in terms of the rest of the house it s just been a case of constantly keeping it very well maintained and updated. Combined with the indoor swimming pool that was already here, the games room has made it an even more fantastic family home and a great place for my wife, my children and I to entertain our friends. Something I really love about the house is the fact that most of the principle reception rooms either overlook or open onto the garden, so there s a lovely connection between inside and out, continues the owner, and the garden is another very beautiful feature of the property. The house itself sits behind electric gates and is set well back from the road. We have a large driveway and lawns to the front and a generous lawn that s edged with very mature trees to the back, so as well as being a very peaceful space there s also a wonderful sense of privacy. My favourite room in the house is probably the main living room, says the owner. It stretches from the front of the house right to the back, and as well as a beautiful wood ceiling which is a stunning feature it also has almost one entire wall of windows which not only draws the eye to the lovely view of the garden, but also floods the room with natural light. I think what we ve loved most about the location is the fact that our immediate surroundings are so peaceful, and yet places such as Coventry, Warwick and Kenilworth are all within striking distance. *

The swimming pool has been a feature that we ve all enjoyed over the years, says the owner, and in my younger days I would be in it every day.

My family and I have had well over twenty very happy years in this house, says the owner, but our dream was always to design and build our own home, and that s what we have done. We loved this house and hope that its new owners will enjoy it every bit as much as we have.
