NIBA COOLING TOWERS Niba is established in 1993 in Istanbul, Turkey. Niba is manufacturing package type water cooling towers in its own manufacturing plant; doing the marketing of water cooling towers and spare parts, sale and assembly. maintenance; engineering and contracting. Niba is giving services of maintenance, repair and control for working cooling towers; engineering and contracting. 2
NIBA COOLING TOWERS Advantages of Niba Cooling Towers Niba cooling towers are designed to realize optimum cooling. The tower, the main structure and water basin are made of GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester). GRP is resistant against corrosion and has got a very long product life time. The internal and external surface of the tower is from Gel-Coat material which is resistant against all weather conditions and UV-rays. It is non-fading, non-rotting. Water cooling towers and parts made of GRP, are not painted. Their color is given by polyester based pigments at the time of manufacture. If required GRP can be painted later for aesthetic reasons. As the color is given by polyester based pigments, in theory any color can be produced upon customer request. 3
NIBA COOLING TOWERS Advantages of Niba Cooling Towers To manufacture the cooling towers in our own plant, give us the chance to keep allthe production process under control and to make necessary interventions. To realize our own manufacturing give us the possibility to use best material, best qualified labor, to pay attention to all details upon our experience in the sector, to supply solutions to our customers with high quality and performance with long product life in competitive economical conditions. Having as the motto The best advertisement is the product itself and the thoughts of our customers who are happy from our product and service, Niba had the results along the years and proved how it was right with such a view with hundreds of references in Turkey and foreign countries. 4
NIBA COOLING TOWERS Are Used in Cooling (chiller) units Textile mills White goods factories Treatment plants Refining & petro-chemical plants Food & Drink Factories Iron-steel plants MDF Plants Aluminum factories Plastic Factories Casting plants Pharmaceuticals industry Power plants Machinery industry Automotive industry Cement plants HVAC Applications Hotels Airports Hospitals Shopping malls and business centers 5
NIBA HAS TWO MAIN TYPES COOLING TOWERS MFK Model Towers HMP Model Towers MFK type water cooling towers for smaller capacity. HMP type water cooling towers for bigger capacity. 6
HMP TYPE COOLING TOWERS Designed for bigger capacities, the HMP model water cooling towers are made tomakethe optimum cooling. In HMP model towers, the fan is located at the top of the tower. HMP model towers are counter-flow and induced draft, the fan is axial 7
COMPARISON OF COUNTER FLOW & CROSS FLOW COOLING TOWERS 1 Counter Flow Maximum thermal efficiency. Counter flow towers need smaller area. Relatively high air static pressure losses. Typically creates lower tower pumping head (when film fill type is used). The probability of recirculation is lower. Minimum exposure of fill and water distribution system to sunlight reduces the potential for algae growth. Counter flow towers have basic and rigid shape with square or rectangular base area. Design allows more effective ice control in freezing climates. 2 Cross Flow Lower thermal efficiency. Cross flow towers need bigger area. Lower air static pressure losses. Pumping height is higher (commonly splash type filling is used in cross flow towers). The probability of recirculation is higher in cross flow, because louvers are located up to deck level. Water is distributed through open ducts; moreover sunlight comes into the tower through louvers causing serious biological formation. Cross flow towers have complicated construction with increasing width to the top. Louvers of cross flow towers may freeze easily during winter operation because of their wide surface. 8
THE DRIVE IS CONDUCTED IN DIRECT DRIVE IN HMP MODEL TOWERS Direct Drive Direct Motor Motor with GearBox 9
HMP DIRECT DRIVE In direct drive system, either a direct motor or a motor with a gear box is used. The motor is placed just on top of the fan. The gear box to be used is single level, helical geared, with motor and flange. 10
HMP TYPE COOLING TOWERS Up to 3200 mm of diameter, aluminum pultruded profile blades are used in HMP type cooling towers. If the noise level is critical for the application, special ultra silent fans are used. 11
HMP TYPE COOLING TOWERS Our HMP models can be manufactured together in two or more cells, to satisfy the need. 12
CERTIFIED COOLING TOWERS Niba is the first and the only certified water cooling tower manufacturer from Turkey. Niba s NB type water cooling towers are certified by CTI and Eurovent Certita Certification. 13

HMP TYPE COOLING TOWERS If required, our HMP models can be assembled in one place and can be lifted to its operation place later. 17
MFK TYPE COOLING TOWERS Designed for smaller capacities, the MFK model water cooling towers are made to make the optimum cooling. In MFK model towers, the fan is located at the side of the tower for easy maintenance. MFK model towers are counter-flow and forced draft. 18
MFK TYPE COOLING TOWERS The fan blades are of PPG material. The fan cabin is made of electro galvanize plated sheet metal. Fan Cabin PPG Fan Blade 19
