6-5 TEST RUN Before performing the test run, recheck for ny wrong wiring. Wrong wiring prevents norml opertion or results in lown fuse disling opertion. The test run cn e initited y using EMERGENCY OPERATION switch (press utton switch). The EMER- GENCY OPERATION switch is pressed, the unit will strt the test run (continuous opertion) for 30 minutes in COOL MODE or HEAT MODE, depending on which mode is selected. During this 30 minutes thermostt does not work. After 30 minutes the unit will strt the EMERGENCY OPERATION t fixed temperture setting of 24 C in COOL MODE or HEAT MODE. Perform test run in the following procedure. PROCEDURE Press the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch. Press it once, nd the EMERGENCY COOL MODE strts. If the left side lmp of the opertion indictor links every 0.5 seconds, inspect the in/out connecting wire B for mis-wiring. 2Press it once more, nd the EMERGENCY HEAT MODE strts. 3Press it once more, nd the opertion stops. (The opertion mode chnges in order of - 3 every press of the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch.) Mode COOL 2 HEAT EMERGENCY OPERATION switch Opertion indictor lmp (Light) (Off) (Off) (Light) POWER 6-6 AUTO RESTART FUNCTION When the indoor unit is controlled with the remote controller, the opertion mode, set temperture, nd the fn speed re memorized y the indoor electronic control P.C. ord. The uto restrt function sets to work the moment the power hs restored fter power filure, then, the unit will restrt utomticlly. If the unit is operted in I FEEL CONTROL mode efore power filure, the opertion is not memorized. In I FEEL CONTROL mode, the opertion is decided y the initil room temperture t (re)strt. Notes: The opertion settings re memorized when 0 seconds hve pssed fter the remote controller ws operted. If the min power is turned off or power filure occurs while AUTO START/STOP timer is ctive, the timer setting is cncelled. As this model is equipped with the uto restrt function, the ir conditioner should strt operting t the sme time tht power hs restored. If the unit hs een off with the remote controller efore power filure, the uto restrt function does not work s the power utton of the remote controller is off. To prevent reker off due to the rush of strting current, systemtize other home pplince not to turn on t the sme time. 6-7 EXPLANATION TO THE CUSTOMER Using the instruction mnul, explin the following to the customer how to control temperture, how to remove the ir filters, how to remove or put the remote controller in the remote controller holder, how to clen, precutions, etc. Recommend the customer to crefully red the Operting Instruction Book. 3 STOP (Lights not turn on) Checking the remote (infrred) signl reception Press the ON/OFF utton on the remote control nd check tht n electronic sound is herd from the indoor unit.
