RAINWATER Rainwater - Management for the environment and nature protection
Flow Control Type AT Type A Type WAB-UCY Flow regulators have the task of restricting the pass forward flow from the storm water retention system to a preset value. ALPHEU Type AT The ALPHEU Type AT flow control system has been designed for semidry or dry installation in the flow control shaft. In this case, the system operates independently without external energy. In dry weather, the water flows unhindered through the throttle. If the water level rises above a certain level during rain, the float will be activated and starts the precise regulation. An automatic regeneration system is integrated for blockages during flow regulation work. Vortex regulator Type WAB-UCY The Vortex flow regulator consists of a cyclone like robust stainless steel construction with no moving parts. The water flows tangentially into the throttle. This leads to the formation of an air-filled vortex core. This vortex has a braking effect without physically obstructing the flow opening and therefore guarantees a predefined maximum capacity. Float operated throttle valve Type WD The float operated throttle valve has been designed for a wet installation in the flow control shaft. During rain activity the float will rise with the water level and causes the gate plate to close progressively the throttle opening. By reducing the discharge opening, the WD starts its throttling action and keeps the desired flow rate at a maximum water level constant. ALPHEU Type A and Type AA The ALPHEU Type A and Type AA flow control systems have been designed for a wet installation in the flow control shaft. Both systems work by means of a pressure bell housing which regulates the flow quantity using an interior float. Vortex regulator Type WAB-CE/V The vertical vortex regulator is a wet installed unit and there is no need of a separate throttle manhole. It consists of a vertical vortex body placed on a plug-in board and is particularly suitable for the limitation of rainwater. With a pull rod/bar, the device can be pulled completely up to remove any possible blockages. Advantages mechanical flow regulators TÜV-approved vertical Q/H- characteristic (ALPHEU) Automatic operation without any external power Product variations for dry, semi-dry and wet installation Automatic deblocking (AT, AA) High-quality, robust stainless steel construction Adapter options: Circular chamber, emergency bypass and emergency overflow.
Flow Control Type EGAR Type D Modern management of the sewer system requires reliable flow con trol systems. The increasing requirements on flow control call for flexible control strategies and intelligent, electrical solutions such as remote operation, data transfer and processing to modern media. Electrical flow regulator Type EGAR The electrical flow regulator type EGAR has been developed precisely for these requirements. A penstock for flow regulation is controlled by an electrical actuator. The water level recorded from a level measurement is directly involved in the calculation of the gate opening by a discharge formula stored in the PLC. The system offers infinitely adjustable controlled flow amount via an operating device and automatic deblocking. In the event of backflow, the downstream level is included in the discharge formula and depending on the control strategy, the throttle penstock continues to open and keeps the flow rate approximately constant or the penstock closes to protect the sewer system. The system can easily be retrofitted into existing structures, offers a high operation safety and can be connected to remote control and transfer systems. MID Flow control Type D The electrical flow control type D has been developed for high requirements on flow control accuracy. The flow will be registered by magneticinductive flow meters (MID) for semiand fulfilled pipelines. The registered flow rate is compared with the set flow rate by the electronic control penstock. If the actual value deviates from the set flow rate, the control penstock is moved to the corresponding position. The system offers infinitely adjustable controlled flow amount via an operating device. Furthermore, the flow control unit has an automatic deblocking system. The backflow detection ensures that, depending on the control strategy, the set flow rate is maintained as far as possible or the control penstock will be closed to protect the sewer system. Together with the remote control connection to a superior system, this flow control system is a modern and intelligent solution, installed into a separate dry throttle shaft. Advantages electrical flow control Reliable and constant flow control with vertical Q/Hcharacteristic Multiple control strategies programmable Infinite adjustment of the flow rate via operation device Automatic deblocking system Back flow detection and integration in control strategy Remote control connection possibility Dry, semidry and wet installation possible with type EGAR High-quality, robust stainless steel construction Control unit EGAR in a protective cabinet D Flow control
Flushing system A storm tank before (left) and after (right) rinsing with a flushing system. Easy cleaning of the sole with the vacuum flushing system. Type MF In any storm water retention system, sediments in the form of sludge or settled solids will build up over time on the tank floor. Incoming organic material also results in consider able odor nuisance. In order to effectively clean up the retention tanks, BIOGET has developed flushing systems which can be used with or without electrical energy. Vacuum flushing system Type MF Once the water level in a tank or a sewer reaches a certain level, a vacuum pump switches on automatically and fills the flushing chamber up with water. As soon as the basin or the sewer has been emptied, the sediments remain on the tank floor. Now the flushing process starts automatically by filling the tank or sewer with one surge using the water from the flushing chamber. This powerful flushing action means that any deposited sediments are carried away and the tank floor is clean again. Flushing system principle Here the principle of the flushing process is demonstrated, using vacuum technology. Incoming mixed water is used to fill the flushing chamber up using a vacuum pump. This starts even with a minimal filling of the tank, respectively with each partial filling event. Once the tank or sewer is empty, the flushing sequence starts automatically. A powerful water surge rinses the floor clean, without any moving parts in the tank. Flushing of a rectangular tank Flushing of a sewer system Advantages flushing system with vacuum technology No moving parts in contact with waste water (no risk of blockage) Efficient cleaning with a water head of up to 7 m Cleaning action using mixed or rain water from the tank uitable for all kind of tank shapes, flexible system Flushing of a circular tank Minimal maintenance - no man entry required for maintenance Optimal flushing result, even on very long lanes and large circular tanks afety and hygienic advantages.
Flushing system Flushing gate in a storm tank in action Type K Gate flushing system Type K An established method of surge cleaning is the technology with flushing gates developed by BIOGET. In this case, control can either take place electronically or by using float technology. The flushing chamber is filled whenever water is in the tank or sewer. As soon as the tank is empty, the flushing gates will open subsequently and the flushing wave enters the sewer or tank with a very high sweeping force. Channel flushing gate Type CF torm water catchment channels create sediments during storm events. If these long channel sections are not cleaned, the potential for blockages is increased and odor nuisance will occur due to septicity. The channel flushing gate is an ideal solution to solve this problem. Once a flushing is required, the gate will be operated electro-hydraulically in low position. The upstream channel water fills the channel behind the plate. Once filled, the gate will be opened and the flushing sequence starts automatically. Advantages flushing with channel flushing gate Channel flushing in large and long channels Flushing of a tank with gates Advantages flushing system with gates technology Efficient cleaning with a water head of up to 3 m Cleaning action using mixed or rain water from the tank Delayed closing of the gate using damping function (optional) Channel flushing gate in upper position Channel flushing gate in low position Periodic channel management and flushing Gate is in open position out of the cross-section Robust stainless steel construction Low maintenance izes from DN 600-2000, larger possible. Excellent locking technology and very fast opening of the gate Low maintenance requirement and low energy consumption.
Coarse solid retention Type A Type LTW During periods of heavy rainfall, both the water quantity can lead to problems and coarse solids can be difficult to deal with. Hygiene articles or other waste at inlet locations to receiving waterways can result in unwanted pollution, which can even be environmentally damaging. creening equipment or lamella baffles from BIOGET can provide a solution. Floating scum baffle Type WTW The floating scum baffle consists of one or multiple balanced floating bodies up to 6000 mm in total length. Due to the specific arrangement of the floating body, floating matters are effectively retained, even at lowest rising water level. torm water screen Type A The BIOGET storm screen ensures high performance screening during periods of heavy rainfall. The solid retention system is installed at overflow weirs and can easy be retrofitted in existing structures. The waste water flows through the perforated screen basket, which is arranged as a semicircle section. The screen basket is fully automatically cleaned during operation. The system retains floating matter and sediments efficient and protects the environment from pollution. Advantages storm water screen Ideal solid retention by means of two-dimensional screening Efficient and continuous automatic screen cleaning Lamella baffle Type LTW The BIOGET lamella baffle is fitted upstream of and below an overflow weir and ensures that sediments floating on the water surface are retained. This means that there are no horizontal flows with suction effect on the surface. The system can be retrofitted easily in existing structures and also adapted individually. There is even a solution suitable for circular structures. Forwarding of extracted screening material to WWTP Advantages floating scum baffles Effective retention of floating solids by floating baffle Ideal for large and fluctuating water levels Vertical and radial versions possibl Easy retrofitting in existing overflow structures Advantages lamella baffles Effective floating retention of floating solids Operation without external energy Installation possible through very small access openings Circular version available Low maintenance
Debris retention system Grit trap Type GEMO Wastewater sewers always carry coarse solids such as grit, gravel or stones. These sedimentary materials cause damage to machines and mechanical parts which are installed in wastewater treatment facilities. It makes sense to collect the sedimentary material automatically and to repeatedly remove it from the sewers. BIOGET has developed an extremely effective grit trap for this purpose. Grit trap Type GEMO The grit trap is placed in a shaft without any fixed installed parts. The passing heavier particles sink into the grit trap basket. Moreover, the sedimentary material is aerated and circulated due to holes in the bottom of the basket, while sedimentation of suspended solids is prevented. Following the filling degree, the grit trap can be lifted by means of suitable lifting gear, emptied and then placed back into the shaft. Aeration of the grit trap is not required for surface and road water drainage. GEMO operating in the shaft Grit trap in circular version Advantages grit trap imple collection and removal of grit imple and inexpensive fitting No technical installations in the grit trap shaft required Compact and robust implementation in stainless steel Fast emptying even during operation Grit trap in rectangular version GEMO during emptying Extremely low maintenance
