INTRODUCTION The presen operaion manual conains he echnical descripion, echnical daa shees, operaion and mouning guidelines, safey precauions and warnings for safe and correc operaion of he fan. GENERAL The cenrifugal chimney fan BLAUBERG is no a ready for use produc. I is a componen uni designed for inegraion ino ho air disribuion. The fan is available for round air ducs from Ø125 up o Ø16 mm. The fan has IEC Proecion Class I and mus be grounded. The fans are allowed for operaion only afer final mouning, including insallaion of proecing devices in compliance wih DIN EN ISO 13875 (DIN EN ISO 121) as well as oher consrucion safey equipmen. The fan design is regularly improved, so some models can slighly differ from hose ones described in his service insrucion. SAFETY RULES The fan complies wih he requiremens according o he EU norms and direcives, o he relevan EU-Low Volage Equipmen Direcives, EU- Direcives on Elecromagneic Compaibiliy. Disconnec he fan from power mains before elecrical connecions, servicing and repair operaions. All mouning and servicing operaions are allowed for duly qualified elecricians wih valid elecrical work permi for elecric operaions a he elecric unis up o 1 V afer careful sudy of he presen operaion manual. Please follow he safey regulaions and working insrucions (DIN EN 5 11, IEC 364). Make sure he impeller and he casing are no damaged before connecing he fan o power mains. The casing inernals mus be free of any foreign objecs which can damage he impeller blades. Disconnec he fan from power mains prior o any operaions relaed o he fan servicing and repair works. Take measures o preven conac wih he fan o avoid physical damages during he fan sep and sar-up. Misuse of he produc or any unauhorized modificaion are no allowed. The fan is designed for connecion o AC single-phase power mains, see "Technical Daa". The fan is raed for permanen operaion during non-sop power supply. Take seps o preven ingress of smoke, carbon monoxide and oher combusion producs ino he room hrough open chimney flues or oher fi re-proecion devices. Sufficien air supply mus be provided for proper combusion and exhaus of gases hrough he chimney of fuel burning equipmen o preven back drafing. The maximum permied pressure difference per living unis is 4 Pa. The ranspored air mus no conain any dus or oher solid impuriies, sicky subsances or fibrous maerials. The fan is no designed for use in an inflammable and explosive medium. The ranspored medium mus no have an aggressive effec on seel a he emperaure saed in he able 1 of he secion Technical daa. Follow he manual guidelines o ensure rouble-free operaion and long service life of he produc STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION RULES Sore he delivered produc in he manufacurer's original packing box in a dry venilaed premise wih he ambien emperaure from +5 C up o +4 C. Sore he fan in an environmen wih minimized risk of mechanical damages, emperaure and humidiy flucuaions. Sore he fan inside a room or under a sheler. Transpor of he produc is allowed by any vehicle in he manufacurer's original packing box. Use hois machinery for handling and ransporaion o preven possible mechanical damages of he produc. Fulfil he requiremens for ransporaion of he specified cargo ype during cargo handling operaions. Do no expose he produc o exremely low or high emperaures. MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY The fan complies wih he requiremens according o he EU norms and direcives, o he relevan EU-Low Volage Equipmen Direcives, EU Direcives on Elecromagneic Compaibiliy. We hereby declare ha he following produc complies wih he essenial proecion requiremens of Elecromagneic Council Direcive 24/18/ EC, 89/336/EEC and Low Volage Direcive 26/95/EC, 73/23/EEC and CE-marking Direcive 93/68/EEC on he approximaion of he laws of he Member Saes relaing o elecromagneic compaibiliy. This cerificae is issued following es carried ou on samples of he produc referred o above. The manufacurer hereby warrans normal operaion of he fan over he period of wo years from he reail sale dae provided observance of he insallaion and operaion regulaions. In case of failure due o fauly equipmen during he warrany period he consumer has he righ o exchange i. In case of no confirmaion of he sale dae, he warrany erm shall be calculaed from he manufacuring dae. The replacemen is offered by he Seller. The MANUFACTURER shall no be liable for any damage resuling from any misuse of or gross mechanic inerference wih he fan. Please follow he operaion guidelines always.! KF is a removable meal mixing chamber wih an inegraed emperaure conrol damper and a G3 filer for ranspored air purificaion. The fan is urned off as emperaure drops down below he se poin. The bypass sysem is designed o preven he fan overheaing if i does no run, for example, in case of power supply cu-off. The damper is closed and air is roued hrough he plug o anoher room. If air supplied o he fan is oo ho, he mixing chamber damper is opened o supply cold air and equalize emperaure.

MOUNTING AND OPERATION GUIDELINES The air moion direcion in he heaing / venilaion sysem mus mach he poiner on he fan casing. Insall he fan o ensure sufficien and quick access for servicing and repair operaions. The fan mus be grounded. Do no moun he fan on a flammable maerial, do no moun he fan direcly in he fireplace hood, do no cover he fan casing, do no build he fan ino he walls. Decompression grilles mus be insalled. Do no operae he fan a he emperaures below C or above + C as well as in aggressive or explosive environmen. Use only hea-resisan meal air ducs and grilles o inegrae he fan ino he venilaion sysem. Do no operae he fan in an explosive or fire-hazardous environmen. Prior o saring mouning make sure ha power cable is no damaged, he fan casing is no deformed and he impeller has free roaion and does no ouch he flange or he casing. Follow general and special safey rules during he fan seup and operaion. The fan mus be grounded. The fan is designed for op or horizonal mouning depending on he model. Insall he fan on he even surface. The fan mouning opions are saed in fig. 15-18. Provide free air circulaion o cool down he fan moor. For vibraion aenuaion, i is recommended o insall he fan on he rigid fireresisan suppor made of gypsum plae.5 x.5 m wih mineral wool layer. The minimum disance beween he fan and he heaing source is 1.5 m, he minimum disance from he fan casing o oher objecs is.5 m. Insall as many decompression grilles as required in he fireplace hood, connec inake and air disribuion ducs and fix hose wih clamps. Insulae he air ducs wih mineral wool. For he fans wih GF opion, adjus he graviy damper posiion in compliance wih he poiner direcion. The damper mus have horizonal insallaion. GF damper is used for overheaing proecion of he heaing / venilaion sysem and he fan during he fan sandby. To se he sar emperaure of he fan from C up o + C roae he emperaure conroller knob. INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION TO POWER MAINS Connec he fan o power mains hrough he auomaic swich. Connecion of he fan o power mains is allowed by a qualified elecrician only. The raed elecrical parameer are saed on he raing plae. Modificaions of inernal connecions are no allowed and will resul in void warrany. Connec he fan only o power mains wih valid elecric sandards. The fan is conneced o power mains hough he erminal block, fig. 19-23, locaed in he fan erminal box, in compliance wih wiring diagram and erminal designaion in fig. 19. The house cabling sysem mus be equipped wih an auomaic swich a 23 V / 5 Hz exernal inpu. The auomaic swich rip curren mus be in compliance wih he fan curren consumpion (refer Table 1).
