GENERAL INFORMATION Features of Desiccant Technology The desiccant dehumidifier is intended for household use only. Do not use this appliance outdoors or on a wet surface. The desiccant dehumidifier is designed to provide an op6mum opera6ng performance between 1ºC and 37ºC. To achieve maximum efficiency, keep doors and windows closed. When first used or periodically a=erwards, you may experience an odour from the dehumidifier which is caused by the Zeolite desiccant material. This odour is not harmful and does not indicate a faulty appliance. 2

Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency and rating as indicated on the product identification plate. 2. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near. Children, the elderly or the infirm. Do not allow children to use the appliance as a toy 3. Press again to switch the appliance OFF.ON MODE: M mode is set when the appliance is switched ON. Press the mode buaon to control the fan speed through the sequence below. (L Low, M Medium, H High). The corresponding LED will illuminate on the control panel and side panel. TROL PANEL & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Low Medium High HUMIDITY: Con6nuous opera6on is set when the appliance is first switched ON. To change the required rela6ve humidity press the HUMIDITY buaon through the sequence below. The corresponding LED will illuminate. Note: Humidity selec6on applies to Low and Medium mode. High mode is fixed in CONTINUOUS opera6on. CONTINUOUS 40% 50% 60% 5

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS conenued In CONTINUOUS opera6on the desiccant wheel will operate to remove ALL moisture present in the air & fabric of the building. At 40%, 50% & 60% the appliance will operate to achieve the set humidity. Once achieved, the desiccant wheel will stop opera6ng un6l the rela6ve humidity rises above the set humidity. SWING: The louvre automa6cally turns to upright posi6on when the appliance is first turned ON. Press once and the air louvre will move from 90 upright posi6on to 45 to aid clothes drying; the SWING LED will illuminate. Press again and the air louvre will return to the 90 angle and the SWING LED turns off. TIMER: Press the TIMER buaon through the sequence below. 1 Hour 2 Hours 4 Hours 8 Hours Press the TIMER buaon to set running hours (1, 2, 4 or 8 hours). When the 6mer is set the corresponding LED will illuminate displaying the 6me sejng. ION: Ionizers use electricity to create nega6ve electrons. These electrons stream into the air and aaract oxygen molecules. At this point, they become nega6ve ions and are aaracted to airborne par6cles. These molecules build up around the par6cles un6l they become too heavy to remain air borne and float to the ground. ALARM: The alarm will sound and the ALARM LED will illuminate if a malfunc6on is detected. The appliance will shut down automa6cally if the internal temperature is too high. Disconnect the appliance from the mains socket outlet and wait for 15 minutes before re- connec6ng the appliance to the mains socket outlet and con6nuing with normal opera6on. If the alarm fault con6nues; contact your authorised service agent immediately for further advise. 6

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Emptying the condensate Tank When the tank is FULL the WATER FULL LED on the control panel will flash with 3 beeper alarm sound and the dehumidifier will stop opera6ng. DO NOT move the appliance while the tank is full as this may lead to water spillage and create a poten6al hazard. To remove the tank, grip the tank firmly by the handle and pull outwards. Any spillage should be dried immediately to avoid a poten6al hazard. Handle ConEnuous Drain OpEon 1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power supply socket. 2. Remove the condensate tank. 3. Feed the flexible drain pipe through the condensate tank apertures and aaach to the water spigot. 4. Return the condensate tank back into the appliance taking care not to dislodge or kink the flexible hose. 5. To ensure the condensate water drains away correctly; no part of the drain hose must be above the water spigot height. Water spigot 7

FILTER MAINTENANCE Turn the appliance OFF and ensure the appliance is disconnected from the mains power outlet. Remove the filter located at the back of the appliance by pulling the filter tab and slide out. Clean the filter using clean water and allow to dry. Alterna6vely, clean using a vacuum cleaner. Refit the clean filter into the appliance. Filter tab 8

SAEFETY FEATURES POWER FAILURE Once the power is restored a=er a power failure, the appliance will automa6cally restart at the selected sejngs prior to the power failure. TURNING THE APPLIANCE OFF A=er turning the appliance OFF using the POWER buaon, the fan will con6nue to run for a short period of 6me. This is a normal procedure and helps to cool & protect the internal components. During this period, DO NOT remove the appliance from the electrical socket outlet; wait for the fan to stop running. WATER FULL ALARM Once the condensate tank is FULL the alarm will sound ten 6mes and the WATER FULL LED will illuminate. The appliance will stop dehumidifying automa6cally. The dehumidifying process will only restart once the condensate tank and been emp6ed and re- installed. Once re- installed correctly the LED will turn off. DO NOT aaempt to modify or remove the float mechanism; this could result in the tank overflowing. THERMAL SAFETY PROTECTION This appliance is fiaed with an internal heater as part of the dehumidifica6on process. Should an overheat situa6on occur; the appliance will automa6cally power down. It is important that the air intake and air outlet are ALWAYS clear of obstruc6ons to avoid the appliance overhea6ng. If the appliance shuts down due to thermal cut- out; disconnect from the mains socket outlet and wait for 15 minutes before re- connec6ng the appliance to the mains socket outlet and con6nuing with normal opera6on. 9

TECHNICAL DATA BS Plug Wiring Wiring Instruc6ons: Should it be necessary to change the plug please note the wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: BLUE - NEUTRAL BROWN - LIVE GREEN/YELLOW - EARTH As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings iden6fying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: 1. The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the leaer N or coloured BLACK. 2. The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the leaer L or coloured RED. 3. Neither wire is to be connected to the terminal which is marked with the leaer E or earth symbol, coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW. 4. Always ensure that the cord grip is posi6oned and fastened correctly. If a 13A (BS 1363) fused plug is used it must be fiaed with a 13A (BS 1362) fuse. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
