The playful wave and pleasant warm surface of the MIRANIT troughs are a temptation for children to wash their hands. Water Free Water free urinals are becoming an increasingly attractive option in schools as they eliminate water usage altogether and are simple to install and maintain. We have a number of solutions in stainless steel or glass reinforced plastic (GRP). How do they work? Stainless Steel The waterless waste fitting in the stainless steel urinals is based on a simple principle of a silicone diaphragm that allows urine to pass through, but stops odours entering back into the washroom. The urinal does not need any liquids, gels, or scented pads to be replaced on a monthly basis for the product to continue to work, only replacement of the diaphragm at approximately six month intervals. The cartridge is lockable to prevent vandalism. The urinal trough is made from 1.2mm thick, grade 304 stainless steel and is purpose made to maximise the flow to the waterless waste fitting and reduce standing fluids. They are available in 2 standard lengths of 1200mm or 1800mm or bespoke to suit requirements. Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Urinals The waterless GRP urinals from our partner, Uridan include a special odour trap. The odour trap works with the aid of urilock, a special blocking fluid which consists of plant-based substances and is biodegradable. The heavier urine flows directly down the drain, whilst the lighter urilock stays on the surface and blocks out odours. The system is both easy to maintain and clean; providing a sound alternative to traditional water fed sanitaryware. Cadet Due to the timeless design, the type Cadet has become a real classic. This material is even more resilient than ceramic. It is distinguished by an extremely long life cycle and provides a high level of security against vandalism. Fluid Change: after approx. 5,000 to 7,500 uses. Gradient to maximise flow to the waste Crew The Crew is available in three lengths (1200, 1800 and 2400mm) and helps to ensure that both the waiting times in toilet queues are kept to a minimum and that water costs are reduced.
