Electrical Installation The NT Dual Channel Display is designed to meet the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC for CE compliance. Compliance with this standard requires the mounting of the display in a metal enclosure and requires good engineering and wiring practices for cable routings and shielding. All wiring connections are made on the removable plug-in screw clamp terminal block connectors on the back of the display. The unit never requires the removal of the back cover. The terminal blocks accept 22 to 18 AWG wire. When wiring the unit, remove the plug-in terminal block. Strip the wire leaving approximately 1/4 (7 mm) of bare wire exposed. (Stranded wire should be tinned with solder.) Insert the wire into the terminal block and tighten. One wire per terminal recommended. The display is specified as a 24 VDC powered unit; however, it may operate from 10 to 30 VDC. The NT Dual Channel Display accepts one or two input signals. The input signals, or channels, may be either 4-20 ma, 0-5 VDC or 0-10 VDC. Both inputs must be of the same signal type (i.e. two 4-20 ma signals). The input channel(s) are not independent of system ground.
