Seller Insight We purchased the house in 1983, says Ann, and it was not only the amount of land that it incorporates that attracted us, but also the wonderful feeling of light and space that flows throughout the house. I must say it was definitely in need of some TLC when we bought it, but over the years, bit by bit, we have renovated almost the entire house. This elegant home has a traditional layout of spacious rooms, and the easy flow makes it ideal for modern family life. Each room has been decorated using neutral tones, which enhances the wonderful feeling of space. I d say the garden is around half an acre, and the remaining land is divided into two very large paddocks, says Ann. We installed a swim spa pool within the garden and a tennis court at the far end of one of the paddocks, both of which have been enjoyed by us all over the years; the grandchildren were actually out on the tennis court in the rain on Christmas day. To me the property is absolutely gorgeous, but there s still potential for someone to come in and be really creative with the space.
There is a large kitchen/diner, adjacent to which is a cosy sitting room, and on the opposite side of the house the spacious drawing room opens into the pretty conservatory with its wonderful panorama of the rolling grounds.
I love the fact that the grounds feel so open, it s so incredibly peaceful here and the views are just beautiful.
I shall be truly heartbroken to leave Kenmore, but the time has come for me to downsize. It has been a wonderful home for the past thirty-three years and I will take with me some very happy memories.
