Design elements There are many elements of design inside the company such as lines, shapes and volumes which are represented clearly through the interior Spaces. Lines : were used clearly on the walls, furniture and ceilings. Shapes: there are many shapes such as: rectangles, squares, circles and different kinds of curvy shapes. Those shapes are represented by the furniture, walls and Lighting equipment around the company Volumes: Lots of things inside the company can be considered as volumes such as : tables, chairs, shelves and other furniture.
Design Principles Variety has achieved by using different kind of colors, textures and different sizes and colors of furniture. Balance has achieved by the equallibarium between the parts of the furniture.. Symmetrical balance can be seen too inside some spaces. Repetition rhythm could be found in different parts of the company and it was achieved by repeating things more than one time and that represented by the arrangement of some furniture. Progressive rhythm could be seen by the design of the sofas in the lounge and some offices tables.
Concept The main aim of the interior design was to create a design that corresponds to the values of fun, unity, creativity & innovation, imagination and sustainability Spatial Organization Linear organization is represented by repeating chairs and tables in a linear way. Radial & centralizaed organization is represented by gathering the chairs about the center which is the table. Clustured organization is represented by the arrangement of the lighting and some shelves.
Organization Chart Circulation & Interior Environment *The design of LEGO PMD makes it possible for the designers to work closer together. *In this new development department, LEGO designers can immerse themselves even more fully in the children s universe. Because the purpose of LEGO is not only to make fun designs for others to enjoy at LEGO PMD, work too is supposed be fun.
* At ground floor * - the open space at the center of the room creates a dynamic flow where create a setting for social interaction and exchange of information. - circular holes punched through a wooden table in the coffee area create both leg room and planting beds, while lounge areas are dotted between workstations and display cabinets. - Towards the sides, there is room for concentrated work, and specially designed means of exhibition such as the show-off podiums and the model towers give the designers a chance to display their work to each other, facilitating the sharing of knowledge and ideas across the department
On the first floor, an expansion of the balcony has made room for five small and three large meeting rooms in each their own colour with glass facades and a view of the large, open space. A Fun Zone with a yellow - \\ table bar creates room for relaxation and social interaction, where a number of building tables for children make it possible for LEGO s youngest employees to test the newest models and products
Colors & furniture The space is full of color, which sings in a sunny environment. - The 5 glass-fronted meeting rooms, each painted a different colour, are located on a first-floor mezzanine that wraps around the building s perimeter. - It's an open space, with meeting rooms sheathed in glass, obviously to encourage transparency and collaboration. These are designed in bright hues, from pink to yellow to blue. ******************************************** The best escape route from a meeting at the Denmark office of toy brand Lego is down a metal slide. * There's also a giant, cushy couch that dwarfs most adults and looks like it wraps around the office. And in one meeting space, there's even a nook that looks designed specifically to house a foosball table (that relic of the 1990s dot-com boom, a signifier of a "cool office space").
Flooring The flooring is (plain) and they use different msterials such as Polyurethane floor, carpets which is help in absorbing the sound Ceiling Ceiling are Acoustical prepared.in general the style of the ceilings are made of ceiling tiles and they are divided into several group of squares. Lighting & HVAC *central Air conditioning and Fire detector are provided for any emergency fire case. * Florescent lights are used The office is also bathed in sunlight which is perfect for a creative environment
Wall treatment And Accessories White boards, graphic print, glass partition walls, drawings, plants pots are used as accessories for the company. - A whacky use of scale brings humor to the creative space, the architect explainsthe idea of scale is challenged with design elements such as huge grass wall graphics and a giant LEGO man and tables with built-in bonsai gardens, thus playing with perception and scale who is big and who is small? Where does work stop and imagination start *************************************************** Way Finding Storages are numbered so that it become easy for them to find any thing they need easily.
