The hea cleans he inernal pars and burns away he finishing residues of coloured BBQ pars. In he process, odours and some smoke may develop. However, his is harmless and only lass a shor ime. Ensure sufficien venilaion. Preheaing I is recommended ha you prehea he BBQ before each use for approx. 10-15 minues wih a closed lid. Operaion Risk of burning! The BBQ and he food become very ho during operaion, such ha any conac wih hese can cause very severe burns. Keep sufficien disance from he ho pars, since any conac can lead o severe burns. Always wear oven or BBQ gloves when grilling. Use only long-handled uensils wih hea-resisan grips. Do no wear any clohing wih wide sleeves. Risk of explosion! Read hrough he following insrucions for urning on/firing up he BBQ and all warning and safey informaion firs, before acually firing up he BBQ. To swich off he BBQ, urn he regulaor on he gas bole o he Off posiion. Then urn he emperaure regulaor on he BBQ o (off). Convenional Igniion wih Mach Risk of burning! Never ignie he BBQ wih a mach from above, always from below. 1. Open he lid of he BBQ before urning on he burner. 2. Se all emperaure regulaors o (off). 3. Connec he regulaor wih he gas bole. Turn he gas inake on he regulaor o he On seing. Do no bend over he BBQ surface. Wih he aid of soapy waer, check if leaks are presen beween he gas bole and he regulaor. 4. Press he lef emperaure regulaor and urn i counerclockwise o he posiion. 5. Sick a burning, commercially available chimney mach (exra-long) from below hrough he large hole in he base of he burner housing ino he viciniy of he burner. 6. Using a chimney mach fire up he flames from below near he gap beween he igniion head and he burner. 8. Consul your disribuor in order o remedy he igniion problem on he BBQ. 10

Cooking wih he Lid Closed Gas BBQs wih lids enable genle cooking of larger pieces of mea and enire fowls, similar o an oven. Wih a closed lid only a flame is necessary. Se he emperaure o a small or medium flame and close he lid. AVOID EXCESSIVE HEATING OF THE BBQ. Unnecessary opening of he lid allows hea o escape each ime and hus lenghens he cooking ime. You should herefore avoid opening he lid unnecessarily. Concluding barbecuing As soon as he food has been prepared, he BBQ should be allowed o burn for 5 minues on a high flame. Residues on he burner are hus burned away and cleaning is made easier. Make sure ha during his process he lid is opened. Turning off he BBQ To swich off he BBQ, urn he regulaor on he gas bole o he Off posiion. Then urn he emperaure regulaor on he BBQ o off. Wai unil he BBQ has cooled down sufficienly before closing he lid. Risk of burns and accidens! If he burner does no ignie, urn he emperaure regulaor clockwise o (off) and hen urn he regulaor on he gas bole clockwise o he Off posiion. Le he grill cool down compleely before cleaning. Healh risk! Do no use any decolourans or hinners o remove sains. These are harmful o healh and mus no come ino conac wih food. Aenion Risk of damage! Do no use any srong or grinding solvens or abrasive pads, since hese can aack he surfaces and leave behind scrape marks. Afer each use, le he BBQ burn for approx. 5 minues wihou any food on i. This reduces he food residues. Se he regulaor on he gas hose o he Off posiion, before saring o clean he BBQ. Remove he BBQ grae and clean i horoughly wih soapy waer. Rinse i wih clean waer and hen dry i off horoughly. Use a we sponge o remove loose residue from he grill. If a grease layer has formed on he inernal surface of he lid, his can be cleaned off using a srong, ho soapy soluion. Then rinse wih clean waer and dry compleely before using he BBQ again. Warning! Never use commercially available oven cleaners! Food residues on he base of he BBQ can be removed wih a brush, spaula, or cleaning sponge. Then wash again wih soapy waer. Rinse wih clean waer and dry. Clean he inernal and exernal surfaces using warm soapy waer. Use a sof, clean cloh for drying. Do no scrach he surfaces when wiping hem dry.
