IMPORTNT SFETY INSTRUTIONS! WRNING Read all instructions before using the mantel and electric insert heater! DO NOT USE OUTDOORS! DO NOT run power cord under carpeting. Regularly inspect all air vents to make sure they are free from dust, lint, or other blockage. Unplug the unit and clean with a vacuum ONLY. DO NOT rinse or get wet. VOID INJURY! DO NOT TOUH hot surfaces, or attempt to move this heater while it is hot. LWYS turn this heater off before unplugging it from the outlet. Discontinue use if this fireplace malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. VOID INJURY! Keep the cord from crossing traffic areas to avoid tripping. Prevent tipping and avoid personal injury! If placing a TV on this mantel, follow all manufacturer instructions included with your TV for safely securing the TV to the wall. 3

WRNING Risk of electric shock! DO NOT OPEN! No user-serviceable parts inside! LWYS disconnect this unit from the power supply before performing any assembly or cleaning, or before relocating the electric fireplace. NEVER leave this heater unattended. LWYS unplug this heater when not in use. LWYS store this heater in a dry location. NEVER use the fireplace if it has become wet. NEVER use this heater in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or any other location where the heater could fall into a bathtub or pool, become damp or come in contact with water. NEVER operate this heater if the power cord or plug has become damaged, or if the grounding pin is damaged or missing. Place the heater near a wall outlet so an extension cord is not needed. If an extension cord is needed, the gauge of the cord must be at least 14WG, and the rating must be at least 1875 Watts. NEVER use a smaller gauge cord with a lower rating. Doing so may result in fire or electric shock. ONLY use this heater on a 110~120 Volt 15 mp grounded circuit. NEVER overload the circuit. If this heater trips the circuit breaker, unplug all other appliances on the same circuit before the next use. void plugging other appliances into the same circuit as this heater. NEVER plug this heater into an outlet that is old, cracked, or has any loose wires or connections. Plugging this heater into a faulty outlet could result in electric arcing within the outlet that could cause the outlet to overheat or catch fire. Faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can cause the outlet to overheat. ii) Heaters draw more current than small appliances. Overheating may occur even if it has not occurred with the use of other appliances. iii) During use check frequently to see if the plug outlet or faceplate is HOT! iv) If the outlet or faceplate is HOT, discontinue use immediately and have a qualified electrician inspect and/or replace the faulty outlets. The power cord supplied with the heater has three prongs: two flat blades (live and neutral) and one round pin (ground). If a 3- slot receptacle is not available, an adapter MUST be used. This will allow you to make adjustments. NEVER use power tools, or over-tighten the bolts. Doing so may damage the wood. Tighten bolts until they are snug, and the assembled pieces are stable. The assembly process may require two capable adults to move pieces into place. Once assembled, the finished mantel should be moved by two capable adults. ssemble the mantel near where the fireplace will be used. Leave room to access the rear of the mantel to make it easier to install the electric fireplace insert. 5

(Flat onfiguration: Proceed to Step 2. orner: omplete Step 1, then proceed to Step 2.) lign Top Front Panel (7), Top enter Panel (8), and Top Rear Panel (9). Thread six Long llen olts () through Washers (), then through tabs and into holes in panels. Thread three Long llen olts () through holes in Upper race (12) and into Top Panels (7/8/9). heck alignment and tighten all bolts securely with llen Wrench (E). 3 2 5 4 D Step 2: ttach Right Side Panel (5) to Right Front Panel (3), and Left Side Panel (4) to Left Front Panel (2). Thread six Long llen olts () through Washers (). ttach Side Panel assemblies to Top Panel with bolts as shown. Tighten all bolts securely with llen Wrench (E). 7

Tighten securely with Phillips screwdriver. ttach Door Knobs (H) to Door with Door Knob Screws (I). ttach Door Stop Plate (J2) to Door with Door Stop Screws (K). 6 14 Step 5 (Flat and orner onfiguration procedures are the same): ttach Door/Shelf assembly (6/13) to mantel assembly. Set the groove at the back edge of the Shelf (6) onto the ack Panel (14). Thread four Long llen olts () through Washers (). ttach Shelf to Side Panels with bolts as shown. Tighten all bolts securely with llen Wrench (E). 8

Thread two Long llen olts () through ase Panel (1) and into Lower race (10). ttach Rear Upright (11) to Upper race (12) and Lower race (10) with two Long llen olts () and two Washers (). Tighten all bolts from all steps securely with llen Wrench (E). 9

Step 7: With the help of a second capable adult carefully lift the mantel from below. NEVER lift the mantel just from top. arefully move the mantel near where the fireplace will be placed. Leave space at the rear of the mantel to enable installation of the electric insert. Refer to the Safety Information and Warnings on pages 3 and 4 for instructions concerning the safe positioning of the fireplace relative to flammable objects, safe electrical outlets, etc. WRNING NEVER sit, stand, or climb on fireplace. Doing so could cause serious personal injury or property damage. The Important Safety Information and Warnings contained on pages 3 and 4 of this manual apply to both the electric fireplace insert and the mantel. LIMITED WRRNTY This warrants to the original purchaser that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship as of the date of purchase and that it will, under normal use and proper care, remain so for one year from the date of purchase. Missing or initially defective parts will be replaced free of charge during the period of this limited warranty. The original dated sales receipt is required for all warranty claims. This warranty does not cover damage which has occurred during transport from the point of purchase to the consumer s home. This warranty does not cover glass, light bulbs, remote controls, or batteries.
