Dave W. Lori K. Sandi H. Mary G. Mike M. Residents Present: Randall Howard New and Outstanding Submission Review: 6 Meadow Lark Green Trampoline We discussed the location of the trampoline with regard to the Town ROW. The trampoline is currently about half on the ROW which is not permitted by the TOB. Initially we discussed the need to keep the trampoline entirely on the property and to screen it so that it was less visible. We eventually agreed that a trampoline wholly on the property and in either the side or back yard would be acceptable with the provision that it be removed in winter. Randall will present a revised location for the trampoline after considering the possible locations that are fully on his property. No vote was taken, no approval given.
Other Business: 32 Willow Green patio and hot tub the plans were reviewed by the committee and agreed to be acceptable. The location on the plan for the hot tub is apparently partly closer than 4 feet from the property line which will likely require a different placement when reviewed by the town. The project was approved unanimously approved. 3 Meadow Lark Green parking pad, patio and fence The location of the fence was determined to eliminate any potential for snow stacking on the property. The parking pad would come within a foot of the neighboring property which would make adding plant material difficult if not impossible. The fence was not considered in detail as it will need to be adjusted to accommodate snow stacking. Doug and/or Mike will contact Sole about adjusting the location of the fence and patio as well as discussing the need for plantings with the addition of the parking pad. No vote was taken, no approval given. 60 Bridge Street change of house color The color scheme is acceptable however the colors need to be considered in the context of the surrounding homes so that the colors are not too much like neighboring homes. Doug and/or Mosh will review the colors of the neighboring homes. If there are no conflicts in colors, the application will be approved. It should be noted on any approval that all doors, both garage and person doors, excepting the wooden front door of the house, must be the body color. A vote was taken and the application was approved unanimously pending an onsite inspection of neighboring home colors. 30 Silver Green addendum to garage stairs Doug needed to modify his existing and approved application from last your to include gable vents.the addendum was unanimously approved by those present (Doug excepted as he recused himself). We continued the discussion of the location of trampolines along with other permanent and non-permanent structures on properties. We agreed that front yards should not contain anything except fences and landscaping. Side yards could contain hot tubs and patios on or near the original grade of the property. Back yards could have patios, hot tubs and play structures. Additional screening of side and back yard amenities would be dependent on the sight lines with regards to neighbors, streets, greens and alleys. Hot tubs will always require some screening (either
existing or added) to prevent the hot tub (not necessarily occupants of the hot tub) from being overly visible from any public spaces and neighbors. We determined that trampolines are not permanent structures and would not necessarily require screening in side and back yards, however proximity and visibility to neighbors may require some efforts to negate any negative impacts. We did agree that trampolines, as temporary structures, need to be removed from the yards between October 31 st and May 1 st. The trampolines would need to be stored out of sight when not assembled for use. Doug is currently developing sample lot diagrams to define front, side and back yard spaces. Getting questions answered and clarified before the formal meetings will the streamline the approval process and you will be able to start the real work with the neighborhoods approval. Application shall also have attached a site plan of your lot, detailed plan for the improvement and elevations if applicable to the project. All plans should be submitted on paper no larger that 81/2x14. Please include the following information below: 1. Description of the improvement: Add a small patio to the left of our deck. Currently this area is dirt and we think adding something would help finish it better. Our plan is to add brick to the dirt area and also have it wrap around the hot tub a bit, so it s all brought together. See pictures on page 2 for an example. 2. Description of materials to be used: Brick Pavers 3. Colors: brown/red 4. Construction schedule & Contractor: We ll be doing this ourselves, starting when we get approval. Hoping to finish by the end of September. 5. Anticipated start and Completion date: See #4
6. Location on property and dimensions: (Shown on Site plan) Before changes
After changes it would be similar to the below picture. The planter would probably have green plants, not flowers, and would circle the tree. The pavers would continue to wrap around the hot tub.
