TRICHOGRAMMA WASP Protect your crops from defoliating caterpillars! Trichogramma are small parasitoid wasps that lay their eggs in moth andbutterfly eggs. They can control over 200 lepidopteran pest species. Life cycle Trichogramma will emerge from the card after 2 to 4 days, depending on the ambient temperature. The females look for butterfly and moth eggs to parasitize. They lay their eggs in the pest eggs. The larva develops in the egg, feeding on the pest embryo. A new trichogramma emerges from the egg 2 weeks later. Tricho-Gard card Application method Trichogramma are shipped at the nymph stage, glued on cards. Application frequency Change the cards every 7 days Duration of treatment will depend on the target pest (see pages 5 and 6). Application time 30 minutes to 1 hour per hectare. Assessment needs? See pages 5 and 6 or contact your representative. 4 Storage Store the cards at a temperature between 4 and 10 C. Unused cards can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. They are produced in Canada from native strains, which are better adapted to our weather conditions and pests. Curative 50,000/m 2 1 time (fall) Annual 10 to 30 C Humid soil 27

BLACK VINE WEEVIL Nematodes Entomopathogenic nematodes parasitize black vine weevil larvae. Decreases foliar damage Long-term control 107033 Guardian Patrol - 10 million (50 m 2 ) 1 sponge 107035 Guardian Patrol - 25 million (125 m 2 ) 1 sponge 107036 Guardian Patrol - 50 million (250 m 2 ) 2 sponges For best results This product must be applied starting in early May. This will give the nematodes enough time to reproduce inside the weevil larvae and then disperse in the ground to contaminate other larvae. Curative 200 000/m 2 1 time (spring) Annual 10 to 30 C Humid soil 28

Nematodes Entomopathogenic nematodes parasitize birch leafminer nymphs and other sawfly species. Reduces foliar damage BIRCH LEAF MINER Native to Canada 107053 Guardian for leaf miner - 5 million (10 m 2 ) 1 sponge For best results This product must be applied starting in late April, when the ground temperature is above 10 C. Apply to the ground in a one-foot radius around the tree. The nematodes can also reduce other sawfly populations. Curative 500 000/m 2 1 time (spring) Annual 10 to 20 C Humid soil 29

SOD WEBWORM Nematodes Entomopathogenic nematodes parasitize sod webworm larvae. Reduces damage Long-term control 107040 Guardian Citadel - 10 million (90 m 2 ) 1 sponge 107041 Guardian Citadel - 25 million (230 m 2 ) 1 sponge 107042 Guardian Citadel - 50 million (460 m 2 ) 1 sponge For best results This product must first be applied in April, when temperatures reach 10 C or higher. The second application can be in early July to control the second generation of webworm larvae. Curative 100 000/m 2 2 times (April and July) Annual 10 to 30 C Humid soil 30

Cryptolaemus montrouzieri Cryptolaemus montrouzieri is a predatory insect. The larvae and adults feed on mealybugs. MEALYBUGS Highly voracious larvae Establishes itself in certain conditions 103009 250 adults* 1 bottle *Possibility of larger formats Selective establishment This small lady beetle is skilled at establishing itself in indoor tropical arrangements and certain greenhouse crops. Highly voracious larvae Establishes itself in certain conditions 112028 50 adults* 1 bottle *Possibility of larger formats Selectif establishment Lindorus is used indoors and in greenhouses. It provides good control in quiet areas where it can get established undisturbed. If there is a lack of food, the adults will attempt to migrate outdoors. Aphytis melinus Aphytis melinus is a parasitoid wasp that feeds on armoured scales (kermes). Parasitizes several species Offers good control in certain conditions ARMOURED SCALES 101045 50 000 adults 2 containers Scale parasitization Aphytis females will lay an egg under a virgin female scale. The larva develops by feeding on the pest (ectoparasite) and kills it at the end of its development. It turns into a nymph inside the parasitized scale. When it is ready to emerge, the small adult wasp chews a small hole in the empty shell. Light curative 1-3/m 2 28 days As needed Strong curative 10/m 2 14 days As needed 24 to 29 C 40 to 50% 33
