General Care and Safety Guide Thank you for choosing this Goldair product. This Goldair appliance has been designed and manufactured to high standards of engineering and with proper use and care, as described in this leaflet, will give you years of useful service. Please read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. 1. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. 3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. 4. Use only the voltage specified on the rating plate of the appliance. 5. Keep all objects at least 1 Metre from the front, sides and rear of the appliance 6. This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use. 7. Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire, electric shock or injury. 8. The common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the appliance and vacuum cleaning the air vents and grills. 9. Always unplug appliance when not in use. 10. When the appliance has been unpacked, check it for transport damage and ensure all parts have been delivered. If parts are missing or the appliance has been damaged, contact the Goldair Customer Services Team. 11. If your appliance does not work, or is not working properly, contact the place of purchase. Repair work on the appliance by unqualified persons can cause serious risk to the user. 12. Ensure hands are dry before handling the plug or the main unit. 13. Carry out regular checks of the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident. 14. Ensure that the cord is fully extended (not coiled) while in use. 15. Avoid contact with the moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, away from blade of the fan during operation to reduce the risk of injury to person and/or damage to the unit. 16. Switch off and use handles provided when moving. 17. It is recommended that this fan is plugged directly into the wall socket. 18. A correctly specified, undamaged extension cord may be used with this fan provided it is used in a safe manner.

Never use the appliance to dry clothes. 22. Never insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance. 23. Never use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance. Clean with a damp cloth (not wet) rinsed in hot soapy water only. Always remove plug from the mains supply before cleaning. 24. Take the base and column parts from the packing box and loosen the plastic nut. 2. ix the column on the base plate using the plastic nut. 3. Unscrew the height adjusting knob. 4. Move the extension pole to the desired height. 5. Then screw the height adjusting knob to tighten the extension pole. FAN BODY ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Unscrew the spinner clockwise and the nut counter-clockwise to remove both of them. 2. Set the rear guard in the proper position with handle up. 3. Screw on plastic nut tightly to attach rear guard. 4. Discard plastic sleeve on motor shaft. 5. Install the blade onto the motor shaft until it reaches the retaining pin. 6. Screw spinner onto motor shaft counter clockwise to blade. 7. Press the rim of the rear guard onto the front guard until the rear guard is properly fitted. 8. Secure both guards firmly by tightening the fan guard then close easy clip.

Operating your Fan Always choose a safe location for the fan, keeping in mind the safety precautions outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use. This appliance requires no installation, it should be used solely as a portable appliance. FAN OPERATING INSTRUCTION WARNING: Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front, sides and rear of the appliance Once the fan has been assembled correctly, connect the mains plug to the mains socket.to turn the fan on, press ON/OFF on the control panel or on the remote. When the fan start working, indicating light will be on accordingly. press to increase the speed; press to decrease the speed accordingly. Choose the speed you prefer. To turn the fan off press on the control box or on the remote. To make / stop the fan oscillate press SWING repeatedly. Tilt adjusting: To adjust the air flow upward or downward, push the guard lightly to the desired direction. WIND MODE Press button on remote to select the desired wind mode. There are three kinds of wind mode: normal, nature and sleep. When normal wind is selected, indicating light NOR in the control panel will be on; when nature wind is selected, indicating light NAT in the control panel will be on; when sleep wind is selected, indicating light SLP will be on. Under the normal mode NOR, speed can be change from 1 to 12. TIMER You can set the fan to automatically turn itself off within a desired time period from 0.5 to 7.5 hours.when the fan is on. Repeatedly press on the remote to select the fan to automatically turn itself off within a desired time period from 0.5 to 7.5 hours. On the control panel, the corresponding light will show on the panel. When the fan is off. WiFi Downloading and Setting up APP This APP is supported only on 2.4GHz WiFi channels. Please ensure your phone is 2.4GHz capable. Note this fan will only work within your home WIFI system. This does not operate on 3G or 4G internet connections. You will need a connection to your home WiFi. Download Goldair fan mobile APP Open the APP Store or Google Play on your mobile phone. Open Search and enter Goldair fan" Click GET and begin to download and install. Once downloaded to your phone open the APP Tap REGISTER near the bottom of the screen. Select your country code Enter your cellphone number Tap Next You will then receive a text message with a verification code.

WiFi Downloading and Setting up APP Enter the verification code from your text message Create a password. Then tap confirm. If you haven t received a verification code via text message. Tap the resend button and when the verification code is received follow above steps. Your APP is now registered and ready for pairing to your fan. Pairing APP to FAN Plug the fan into the mains power and make sure the mains power switch is on.

Pairing APP to fan On your phone tap open the Goldair app. Then tap ADD DEVICE to connect to the fan. Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the fan for 5 seconds. A beep will sound indicating the fan is trying to connect to the WiFI and to the app on the phone. The WiFI LED on the control panel of the fan will blink 3x every second indicating its in the WiFi connecting mode. Tap Next Step on the phone.

Pairing APP to Fan Choose/confirm which WiFi to connect to. Note: your phone may pick up other WiFi signals (e.g. neighbours) so you will need to choose. Enter your WiFi password XXXXXX The phone will then connect to the fan. Ensure you have a good strong signal from your WiFi router. Note: The WiFi indicator on the fan may go off during this pairing process. Once complete the screen showing the device has been successfully added will appear. Rename the fan if desired. Tap Done to continue. When the phone interface shows the addition is successful, and the WIFI indicator on the fan will stop flashing. The fan pairing is complete and the main control screen on your phone will appear showing the fan as OFF. If the phone and fan fail to connect, then you will need to try to connect again as per the above process.

Operating your Fan from the APP You can rename the fan. Tap the 3 dots on the top right of the control screen of the APP to take you to the next page. Click Modify Device Name and rename the fan. Example: Bedroom 1, Dining Room etc. and tap save. DEVICE SHARING SET UP The person you add will need to have the Goldair fan APP installed on their phone. Open the GOLDAIR APP and tap the 3 dots in the top right of the screen. Tap "Add Sharing" to enter the number of the person you want to include or tap the phone icon to select the persons phone number. Tap Confirm to complete the addition. DEVICE SHARING CANCELLATION Open the GOLDAIR APP and tap the 3 dots in the top right of the screen. Tap Add Sharing and delete the phone numbers of shared members to cancel the device sharing. NOTE: There can only be one user operating the fan at a time. The APP needs to be closed on all other devices to enable the sharing to work. NOTE: If someone else sets up their phone on the same fan without using the Device Sharing the original phone will be disconnected and the fan will disappear from the device list.

Operating your Fan from the APP Mobile phone remote operation (connect fan power and turn on the side switch, so that the fan is in standby mode). POWER Open the GOLDAIR" APP to select the fan (when using one mobile phone to control multiple fans, you need to select the fan to be operated). Select the fan to be operated and enter the operation interface. If the graphic of the fan blade is the color is grey, this indicates that the fan is in the OFF standby setting. Tap the Power icon and the fan will turn on. The graphic of the fan blade will now turn the colour white. You can now control the fan. To turn the fan off again tap the Power icon and the fan blade graphic will revert to the grey colour. Grey icon fan Off White icon fan On MODE There are 3 modes the fan can go into. To select the mode press the Mode icon. NORMAL this is the standard and default mode of the fan. 12 Speed settings NATURAL this mode attempts to mimic the outdoor natural wind type of by constantly changing the wind speed. 3 speed settings SLEEP this mode is very similar to natural mode where the wind speed will change every few seconds. 3 speed settings OSCILLATION (OSC) In any mode you can select the fan to oscillate from side to side by pressing the OSC icon

Operating your Fan from the APP WIND SPEED To select different cooling powers tap the WindSpeed icon. In the default mode of Normal you can select speed settings from 1-12 (1) quiet and low speed, (12) high speed. Tap the speed setting that feels the most comfortable to you. In Sleep and Natural mode select speed settings from 1 to 3. Note in the speed setting 3 this will allow the fan to cycle up to the fans most powerful wind speed setting. TIMER To set the timer press the clock icon in the bottom left of the screen above the Wind Speed icon. When the fan is ON you can set it to turn OFF after a number of hours (0.5-7.5 hours) has elapsed. In the APP, tap the fan to be operated and enter the operation interface. With the power icon on the lower left corner of the mobile phone interface is displaying ON and the fan is turned ON. Tap the timer button and scroll to select the number of hours before the fan will turn OFF and tap OK to return to the fan operation interface. The timer icon on the lower right will display how long before the timer will turn the fan OFF. To cancel the timer, touch the timer button again and the numbers will disappear and just show timer. When the fan is OFF the timer can be set to come on after 0.5 to 7.5 hrs.

Adding Additional Fans From the Devices page of the APP press Add Device and follow the steps below to pair the new fan. Choose/confirm which WiFi to connect to. Note: your phone may pick up other WiFi signals (eg. neighbours) so you will need to choose. XXXXXX Enter your WiFi password

Remote Control The remote control buttons perform the same functions as those on the control panel of the unit. Operating your Fan To replace the batteries in the remote control, use a screwdriver to unscrew and lift the battery cover. Replace all batteries with 2 x AAA type batteries. Ensure you insert new batteries with the polarities in the correct direction. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw. Remove batteries when unit is not being used for prolonged periods. Do not dispose of batteries in fire as batteries may leak or explode. Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Cleaning To avoid risk of electric shock, before cleaning, you MUST ALWAYS switch off and unplug the fan before cleaning. Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before removing the guard. Use only a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the fan and dry well. To access the fan blade, remove the front guard and securing screw. Do not immerse the fan in water and never allow water to enter the motor housing. Do not use harsh chemicals to clean the fan.
