When unpacking the fan, check to see you have received all the items listed in the parts list, before discarding the packaging. Do not place the fan near the edge of a bench or table during operation. Ensure that the surface is level, stable, clean and free of water and other substances. Fit the base stand on to the stem located on the base of the tower fan, using the 5 fastening screws supplied, screw the base stand to the tower fan body and fasten until tightened (see Fig. 4). Fig. 4 5. Return the tower fan to its upright position. It is now ready for use. 8

Operating Your Tower Fan To operate the tower fan, plug the power cord into a 230V or 240V electrical outlet and switch on. Be sure that the plug fits tightly as a loose fit will cause overheating and damage the plug. NOTE: To avoid an electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit as your fan, when it is in use. NOTE: To avoid infrared interference that may trigger the operation of the cooling fan, ensure the fan is positioned away from other infrared remote controlled appliances. Fan Speed Settings The tower fan has three fan speed settings; (LOW), (MED) and (HIGH). To start the tower fan, turn the tower fan on by pressing the FAN button once; the unit will be in NORMAL fan mode, at LOW speed setting. Pressing the FAN button a second time will set the tower fan into MEDIUM speed setting. Pressing the FAN button a third time will set the tower fan into HIGH speed setting. To turn the tower fan OFF, press the FAN button continuously until none of the indicator lights are illuminated on the control panel display and the fan is no longer running. Then turn off at the power outlet and remove the plug from the power outlet. Setting the Nature and Reduction Mode The tower fan has a NATURE and REDUCTION setting. Both the NATURE and REDUCTION modes can be used on any fan speed. The LED screen will indicate what mode the fan has been set in. Nature Mode The NATURE mode simulates the natural rise and fall of the wind over time. Once a fan speed setting is selected, press the 'MODE' button once to activate the NATURE setting. The fan will now alternate between the pre-selected setting, all lower settings and OFF. To switch the NATURE mode off, press the 'MODE' button twice, until the indicator light disappears. Reduction mode The REDUCTION mode allows you to decrease the fan speed over time. Once a fan speed setting is selected, press the 'MODE' button twice to activate the REDUCTION setting. After 30 minutes, the selected setting will drop to the next lowest setting. For example if the fan speed is set at MED, after 30 mins it will drop down to LOW, and remain on LOW until the unit is turned off. To switch the REDUCTION mode off, press the MODE button once. The fan will now be in normal operation Setting the Oscillation This function will work in any mode. Pressing the OSC button once will allow the tower fan to oscillate from side to side. To stop the unit oscillating, press the OSC button once more. 9

Using Your Kambrook ArcticTower Fan continued Setting the Timer The timer function works in all operating modes and switches the unit into standby mode after the selected number of hours have elapsed. The Tower Fan incorporates an eight hour, count down timer, which allows the fan to switch itself off after 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. Press the TIMER button once to activate the timer setting. The timer will then be set to turn off the fan in 1 hour and the 1h indicator will illuminate on the control panel display. Press the TIMER button again, to set the fan to switch itself off after 2 hours, and the 2h indicator will illuminate on the control panel display. Similarly, pressing the TIMER button a 3rd or 4th time will set the fan to switch itself off after 4 or 8 hours, and the relevant setting will illuminate on the control panel display. To cancel the TIMER press the timer button continuously until none of the timer indicator lights are illuminated on the control panel display (See fig.5). Using the Remote Control The remote control buttons operate in the same way as those on the fan control panel. Your remote control takes 2 x AAA Batteries. Fig. 5 10

Care, Cleaning and Storage 1. Ensure that the tower fan is switched OFF and disconnected from the power outlet before cleaning. 2. Use a clean, dry cloth to clean the external surfaces of the tower fan. If the tower fan has collected dirt inside the unit, have the unit cleaned by a qualified service agent. Do not operate the tower fan in this condition. 3. Do not attempt to open the case of the tower fan at any time as there are no customer serviceable parts inside. 4. When not in use, remove the base stand and screw connection ring to the stem on the base. Store the tower fan (preferably in its original box) in a cool, clean and dry location. 11
