Polymer and steel versions are available. ight weight and compact dimensions mean that Rexroth hydraulic reservoirs are optimally adapted to requirements of fan drive hydraulics on buses. The hydraulic reservoir allows the optional supply of a second pump. Hydraulic fluid The hydraulic reservoirs TMP and TMS are approved for the following hydraulic fluids: Hydraulic fluids based on mineral oil HP, HVP, HD engine oils, ATF fluids An automatic air bleed is integrated into the reservoir cap. The hydraulic reservoirs are fitted as standard with a optical oil level indicator. The polymer reservoir can also be equipped as necessary with an electrical oil level indicator. A return line filter is installed in the reservoir. Mating connector On the version with electrical oil level sensor, the mating connector is not included in the delivery contents. Order designation: osch Jetronic 1 98 40 448 Installation instructions Piping of hydraulic reservoir to pump: Port on hydraulic Pump/oil cooler port reservoir, 1 / Highest positioned case drain port for pump Suction line for pump Return line for oil cooler If using the reservoir with a second pump, its suction line can be connected to the port. Installation position (recommended) The minimum oil level in the reservoir should always be above the pump. In order to guarantee optimum suction properties for the pump, the suction line must always be routed so that it is descending from the reservoir to the pump. TMP: TMS: 1, S Instructions The installation position must be selected so that the reservoir will not be damaged in an accident (crashproof installation). The reservoir mounting must withstand all foreseeable loads. Except at the mounting points, no mechanical loads are to be exerted on the reservoir. The permissible temperatures must not be exceeded. It must be ensured that escaping hydraulic fluid is unable to come into contact with ignition sources (hot vehicle components, sparks). For example, the reservoir could be dropped and damaged during transportation. Reservoirs that have been dropped are not approved for operation. Maintenance The service life of the hydraulic pump is heavily dependent on the quality of the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir. The service line ports and function ports are only designed to accommodate hydraulic lines. Manufacturer's instructions for the tightening torques of the used fittings must be observed! No faulty components are to be used. If the components should fail or demonstrate faulty operation, repairs must be performed immediately. During and for a short time after operation, the housing temperature of the reservoir may increase. Take suitable safety measures (e.g. wear protective clothing). Intended use --The Rexroth hydraulic reservoirs are designed for fan drives in open circuits in buses. --The warranty from Rexroth only applies to the delivered configuration.
