Agrolite Perlite Agrolite Perlite can be used pure or mixed as a substratum of our soil culture as well as a propagation substrate because it provides a good balance between water retention and aeration at the level of root zone ensuring optimal development for the plant. The advantages of using Agrolite Perlite as a soil conditioner: Soil compaction is reduced Ensures good air-water equilibrium at root zone Good retention of water and nutrients Reduces water loss Inorganic and does not deteriorate Sterile and does not contain pathogens and toxic substances Acts as an insulator in reducing soil temperatures Has essentially neutral ph of 6.5 to 7.5 holds moisture up to 3 to 4 times of its weight Odorless, clean and lightweight Applications Seed Germination Indoor and Outdoor Plants Grass Areas (All Types of Turfs) Hydroponics 100 liters bag Color White Smell Odorless Solubility in Water Less than 1% ph 6.5 to 7.5 Total Porosity 95.6 Silicon Oxide 45.65 mm Aluminum Oxide 175 Potassium Oxide 5% Sodium Oxide 4% Trace Elements Smaller percentages Agrolite Vermiculite Agrolite Vermiculite is a micaceous mineral (chemically hydrated magnesium aluminum silicate) when heated at 1600 F, it expands in volume by 15 times, providing an extremely large surface area. This allow to absorb moisture and nutrients and make it available to the plant roots when required. The shape, size and physical properties of this material allow the passage of air, providing optimum aeration to the roots, regulates the ph of the soil and provides the plants with controlled fertilizer feed due to its high cationic exchange properties. Agrolite Vermiculite is inorganic and does not deteriorate. It exhibits exellent water retention, improves soil aeration, free from weeds and diseases, reduces soil temperature, clean, odorless, lightweight and easy to handle. Arabian Vermiculite Industries is the only manufacturer of this product in the Gulf Region.
