Funeral Charges Our funeral charges are made up of a number of different elements, depending on the type and style of funeral service each family requires. Our experienced funeral arrangers will gently go through all the options available, resulting in a bespoke funeral which we aim to match the needs of each family we look after. The Professional Service charge includes the use of our premises, all arrangements for the funeral, office administration and the many other services, which enable us to finalise the arrangements we make on your behalf. We ask that a deposit payment of 1,500 be paid at the time of arranging the funeral, to go towards the third party disbursements we pay out on your behalf. Direct Cremation Service Not everyone wants to have a funeral service. For some they do not want the fuss, for others they do not want the expense of a full funeral service. Or they may simply just not want anyone else to be present, or prefer to separate the cremation from the funeral service itself. For whatever reason, we can help. Direct Cremation from 1,987.00 inclusive. What is included: Our simple Glenmore oak foil veneer coffin. Conveyance of deceased to our Chapel of Rest during office hours, within a 20 mile radius of our office. Conveyance of the coffin to Kent & Sussex Crematorium, Tunbridge Wells for immediate cremation (no service held), at a time suitable to ourselves. Cremation and doctors fees. Our professional service and advice throughout. Quiet time in our Chapel of Rest, with the closed coffin. Interment of the cremated remains in the Garden of Remembrance of the Crematorium (unwitnessed), or collection by the applicant. What is not included: This price is available because several elements of a traditional funeral are not used or do not take place, for example: There is no Funeral Service in the chapel, so a celebrant is not required. We also do not carry out any preparation of the deceased, (such as embalming or dressing), leaving them quietly at rest until their funeral date. Burial of Ashes Our charges for the burial of ashes as set out below, are made up of a number of different elements, depending on where the ashes are to be interred or scattered.
