Home Performance Program Healthy, Comfortable & Efficient Mike Corbett May 14, 2018 Powering forward. Together.
Why the Change? Simplify the program for our customers and HPP contractors HPP is a large undertaking for customers ($, time, Stress of Unknown) Missed opportunities to save and do it right (HVAC Change-outs, re-roofing) Time-of-Day Pricing PG&E sun-setting HUP SMUD priorities for electrification and carbon reduction
PG&E Sun Setting Home Upgrade Program Home Upgrade Program The prescriptive Home Upgrade Program will be gone by June 2018 HUP accounted for $1,500-$2,700 of customer incentive in addition to SMUD HPP PG&E s is offering an Advanced path & Pay for Performance after June 2018 Why does SMUD Care? The SMUD HPP program has evolved to be closely aligned to PG&E s Home Upgrade Program to increase participation potential The sun setting will now require contractors to participate in two distinctly different programs, thus increasing administrative burden and potentially reducing participation in SMUD s HPP program.
Three Package Options Allow customers an option for a phased approach to upgrading their home Better aligned with contractor sales cycle and seasonality of work No more complicated rebate tiers Flat rebate per package Customers know exactly what they get! SMUD brochures and collateral
