Save the Date A Toast to Our Town A benefit dinner for GrowNY C Monday, JUNE 3, 2013 Gotham Bar and Grill Honorees, Fabulous Food, Special Guests in celebration of GrowNYC s longstanding efforts to help New Yorkers make ours the most sustainable, livable town in the world.

Event highlights: Located at Gotham Bar and Grill, the only restaurant to have received five consecutive three-star reviews from the New York Times, for an intimate dinner of 150 guests in an elegant setting. Bid on fabulous, exclusive silent auction prizes. Last year included an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the New York Times and Singapore!: a luxurious flight on Singapore Air and a stay at the Ritz Carlton. Marketing highlights: Pre-event press outreach to local and regional press, including New York Times, Edible Magazines, New York Magazine. All event sponsors will be featured on the GrowNYC website (monthly unique visits: 40,000+), an email invitation and a post-event e-blast to a database of 25,000+ GrowNYC supporters. Seasonal and local dinner hosted by a line-up of some of the City s most renowned and talented chefs, including Chef Alfred Portale, winner of the James Beard award for Outstanding Chef in the Nation. Celebrate with environmentally aware New Yorkers including special guests seated at several tables

All proceeds from our gala benefit GrowNYC s environmental programs. Our Programs Responsible for operating the largest outdoor farmers market program in the U.S., Greenmarket, with 54 farmers markets in all five boroughs Conduct one-on-one outreach to more than 50,000 New Yorkers in order to improve recycling in NYC communities with the lowest rates, as well as provide expanded recycling opportunities: 1,000,000 lbs. of food scraps collected and 1,800,000 lbs. of textiles diverted from the landfill Build or substantially renovate community gardens and green spaces 60 gardens created and counting and assist more each year with our Grow Truck, volunteer days, annual Plant Sale and more Engage more than 40,000 children in hands-on education programs ranging from planting thousands of trees to protect drinking water to urban agriculture programs where teens grow their own food. Where We re Going A farmland retention program that helps farmers achieve long-term land tenure, preserving farmland and ensuring a continued supply of healthy, fresh food for New Yorkers A school recycling program that has a sustained presence each year in 100 schools, ensuring long-term success More gardens and green spaces that harvest rainwater, grow food and serve as an oasis for all residents, including at schools across the city A new generation of citizens who have knowledge to solve future problem Expanding Greenmarket Co., New York City s first all local wholesale distribution service, so that GrowNYC can deliver the freshest, highest-quality farm products rom our growers to corner stores, restaurants, food pantries and more.
