Purpose of this Workshop 1.Fallswithinanintegratedtrainingprogrammepreparedby CYS, approved and funded by the Training Fund for the Hydrocarbons Sector, under the Ministry of Energy 2. Aims to bring together the major private stakeholders in the hydrocarbon sector and share a common aim 3. Common aim: Enhance high quality for the emerging hydrocarbon sector in Cyprus, through the use of standards as a support tool for regulators and private stakeholders 4. To underline the CYS important role in the Hydrocarbon Sector 5. Gain good practices from the mature Dutch Model and assist CYS for future actions & plans serving the common aim

Planning Future Actions (under consideration) Build up a Team for Hydrocarbons issues, within the Secretariat of CYS to monitor and manage standardisation issues relevant to the H/C Sector Establish official, stable and ongoing co operation with local Regulators in order to be updated on the strategic plans and progress of projects in the H/C Sector and always act as an assisting valuable partner within CYS s mission Set up the CYS National Standardisation Council (CYS/ΣΥΤΥ) to take decisions on strategy and actions related to quality and standards issues in support of the H/C Sector
Planning Future Actions (under consideration) Create a National Fund for Quality in the Hydrocarbon Sector aiming to support and facilitate the smooth operation and provision of services of the quality infrastructure in the H/C sector Development and implementation of a National Strategic Plan for Quality in the Oil & Gas Sector which will include actions aiming the continuous improvement of the H/C sector utilizing quality tools i.e. standards, certifications schemes etc
