Residential ventilation air handling units DOMEKT Efficient heat recovery till 92% Low energy consumption Silent operation Integrated automatic control

Healthy indoor climate and energy saving We spend up to 90% of our time in closed premise and we rarely think of the air we breath. Fresh and clear air is vitally essential and important but we pay much more attention for food, water and everything else what we see, feel and touch. Human health and self-feeling depend on many circumstances that create all the complex. Everyone is certain that fresh air creates good conditions for a good mood. It also improves self-feeling and increases working capacity. What is the air which we are forced to breath in our flats where we spend most of our time and rest commonly? Why does the number of people who suffer from allergy increase every year? The consequences of the absence of ventilation The air of polluted premise Allergens The humidity and the must The loss of heating People activity, computers, furniture, carpeting, contemporary building materials and a lot of other details that surround us everyday exclude the injurants. It is hard to believe that sometimes the concentration of injurants inside can exceed about 100 times than outside. Children and elder people are especially sensitive for the environment pollution. The most popular decision is to ventilate the premise opening the windows or the balcony. What about a draught, noise, a loss of heating in winter, overheated air blowing in summer, insects and motes. The consequences of this decision are discomfort, worse self-feeling and additional charges. The number of people suffering from allergy increases every year. Research data states that children are more likely to suffer from allergy which may lead to bronchial asthma. The pollen, dust particles, domestic ticks, fungal and the must are all the allergens in the air and often cause allergic reaction. Ventilation reduces the concentration of allergens in a ventilated premise, therefore the risk of illness is also reduced. If the window or the balcony is open the situation may get worse because unfiltered air will be blown into premise with pollen, dust etc. Hermetic windows, doors, additional walls heat insulation and flashing ensure heat preservation in premise and save the energy. The air does not remain in insufficiently ventilating premise. If there is no ventilating, the warm air condenses on cold walls and windows. The microclimat of such premise is inevitably getting worse and the humidity excess makes a negative impact on interior beauty. The excess of water steam in the air and the concentration are the best conditions for the development of the must fungal. The consequence of the vital activity of fungal is not only the beauty destruction of the walls and ceiling but also the allergic reactions to people. Up to 65% of the warm is used for the heating of fresh blown air in modern buildings. This is why natural ventilation is the essential reason for the loss of heating and additional charges. The installation of an economical ventilation system with heat recovering solves this problem easily at the same time reducing charges of heating and electrical energy at most. 2 UAB AMALVA reserves the right to introduce changes of parameters and sizes in the process of improvement of the air handling units.

Prevailing stereotypes Is the natural ventilation the cheapest conventional solution? Does a conditioner change the ventilation system? Is the installation of ventilation system complicated and expensive? The natural ventilation is inefficient in modern and reconstructed buildings where hermetic glass package and heat insulations of the walls are used. Moreover, the consumer is not protected from smells penetrating of next flats, draught, noise and cold weather. There is also no chance to control air change parameters. A conditioner does not ensure the provision of fresh air and so it just regulates the temperature of the premise and makes the air cold or warm. The consumed and polluted air constantly circulates in the premise due to the work of conditioner ventilators. This decision within a balanced ventilation system makes good conditions for the multiplication of bacterium and fungal. Air parameters are getting worse in the premise and allergic illnesses are caused. Contemporary supply-exhaust ventilation equipment with heat recovery and integrated automatic control is made so that the installation would be mostly simplified. Such a unit could be valued as everyday unit which can be used at every flat. The question of a system price is individual and depends on a project-based solution but the benefit of a system usage and (having analyzed the reduction of charges) prices as well as obtainable ratio of benefit ensure the accessibility of his system for every contemporary consumer which is concerned for his family health and welfare. Komfovent supply and exhaust air handling unit with heat recovery is a reliable solution for any type of residential area The central system of mechanical ventilation is rather expensive and so it is unintended for older flats or individual houses. KOMFOVENT DOMEKT individual ventilation system is created not only to ensure healthy microclimate in residential premise but also to do it economically. Plenty of heat is lost providing air through open windows and removing it from a toilet, kitchen. It is cheap for installation and expensive for exploitation. UAB AMALVA reserves the right to introduce changes of parameters and sizes in the process of improvement of the air handling units. 3

PLUG & PLAY DOMEKT series air handling units are designed for the ventilation of residential premise that possess an area from 40 m 2 till 250 m 2. Two functions in one DOMEKT unit: 1. Premise ventilation i.e. air supply to premise removing it and recovering the heat. 2. Extraction of the used air from a cooker or a toilet at the same time keeping air provision/removing balance in the premise. Helps to save up to 92% of heat. Air handling units are fully prepared for installation: just PLUG & PLAY. DOMEKT air handling units are especially silent. Air handling units with EC fans. High coefficient of efficiency of an EC fan causes low usage of energy. A compact construction of air handling unit and a universal construction help to integrate it in a set of kitchen furniture. It is also possible to hang them on the wall, ceiling, or to put it on the floor. Special design of the units no need to specify the inspection side it is both right and left hand in one. With modern touch sensitive control panel C4 PLUS. The rotary or plate heat exchanger which uses the heat from the removed air for heating the provided air is integrated in all air handling units. The process of heat utilization (usually known as a process of recovering) helps to save up to 90% expenditures used for the heating of supplied air and up to 30% expenditures used for the heating of premises. Energy saving units maintain controllable air change and provide an opportunity for an inhabitant to independently control the ventilation intensity. The usage of such energy saving technologies is as opportunity noticeably to save the expenses during the heating season. It also ensures comfortable parameters of temperature, humidity and clean, flltered air in the premise that obviously ensures healthy microclimate in premises. KOMFOVENT DOMEKT ventilation equipment provides the consumer an opportunity to create an individual ventilation system which is independent from all the multistorey house and neighbours. The equipment is created so that it would be easy to change the current old air extraction system through the hood and air supply through the window. 4 UAB AMALVA reserves the right to introduce changes of parameters and sizes in the process of improvement of the air handling units.

Possible ways of installation of KOMFOVENT DOMEKT units: With directly integrated kitchen hood Komfovent (only for REGO 200V) With separately connected kitchen hood Komfovent With separately connected additional extract air diffusers. If a kitchen hood is not used, an extraction diffuser from the bathroom, laundry, or other premise can be connected to the unit as well. Balanced ventilation system in the premise. When the kitchen hood is switched on, the supply air flow in the unit increases and the exhaust one decreases automatically. This way we can feel the supply/exhaust air flows balance in the premise. Outdoor air Supplied air Exhausted air from premise Exhausted air outside Exhausted air without regeneration (e.g. from a cooker, a toilet etc.) UAB AMALVA reserves the right to introduce changes of parameters and sizes in the process of improvement of the air handling units. 5

What should be known if you want to choose the most suitable air handling unit? Ventilation is characterised by amount of the air and the frequency of air change. The amount of air is the volume of air in premise (m 3 ). The frequency of air circulation shows how many times the air changes in premise per hour. The frequency of air change recommended in residential premise is at least one time for comfortable conditions. Consequently, such a simple formula can be used to estimate in advance the air flow of the unit: The quadrature of a living area (m 2 ) х The height of a residential premise (m) х The frequency of air circulation 1,0 h -1 For instance: residential area is 75 m 2, ceiling height is 2,7 m, consequently: 75 х 2,7 х 1,0 = 202 m 3 /h. The aproximate air flow of a unit (air supply/exhausted air) will be about 200 m 3 /h. This estimate is not the rule; the necessary air flow of a unit can be noticeably higher because the frequency may be estimated according to the effect that we are seeking. The most accurate data necessary to ensure the effective ventilation will be provided by a professional who designs your system. If you want to choose a unit quickly in advance you may know just an area and estimate the usage of the air by formula. You may also foresee possible type of unit s mounting and choose the type of a recuperator. Quick selection of a DOMEKT unit: Residential area, m 2 40-120 m 2 121-190 m 2 Air flow, m 3 /h 50-230 m 3 /h 240-400 m 3 /h 410-600 m 3 /h Mounting place: On the wall On the floor Under the ceiling The type of the heat exchanger: REGO 200V REGO 400V REGO 250P REGO 400P REGO 450VE-B Rotary efficiency up to 89% efficiency up to 90% efficiency up to 87% efficiency up to 88% efficiency up to 83%* Plate The full selection of units with all the technical characteristics available on webpage: www.komfovent.com, DOMEKT section quick selection. * Efficiency in Passive House air flow range: REGO 450 78% and RECU 400 77%. 6 UAB AMALVA reserves the right to introduce changes of parameters and sizes in the process of improvement of the air handling units.
