We provide exceptional solutions to help our clients achieve success. We began as a small, two-person surveying firm called M.E. Berry & Associates in Hollywood, Florida. Known today as Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. (CGA), we have grown dramatically, adding new services, new offices, and an incredibly talented group of professionals who have expanded our capabilities into an entirely new and dynamic business segment. We offer a diverse scope of professional services that often enables us to serve as a reliable one-source partner, efficiently tackling time-sensitive projects with customized solutions. Custom building exceptional solutions is the core of our business.

OUR SERVICES Building Code Services Coastal Engineering Code Enforcement Construction Engineering and Inspection Construction Services Contract Government Data Technologies and Development Emergency Management Services Engineering Environmental Services Indoor Air Quality Landscape Architecture Municipal Engineering SURVEYING AND MAPPING We ve been experts in surveying since our humble beginnings in 1937. Since then, our expertise has grown along with advancements in technology. Today, we offer 3D laser scanning, which collects more data, more quickly and efficiently than traditional survey techniques. In addition, 3D scanning enables surveyors to stay out of construction and high traffic areas, which reduces the possibility of accidents. We are also able to download measurements and other data directly into our computer systems from the field, resulting in more precise and more detailed parcel base maps in significantly less time. Additionally, our involvement in our local communities allows for greater public outreach and community input to ensure the desired outcome. ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES The professionals of CGA possess a critical understanding of local and regional environmental planning and permitting issues as well as the historic impacts affecting our region. Our integration of technical field skills, knowledge of regulatory details, and overall project requirements enables us to efficiently address project needs from inception to completion. We provide regulatory permitting, environmental planning and technical support, resource management, wildlife and habitat assessments, wetland jurisdictional delineations, wetland mitigation design services, and benthic resource assessments throughout Florida and the Caribbean. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING From a site-specific plan review for a municipality to a traffic engineering and concurrency analysis for a private sector client, CGA offers a diverse scope of traffic engineering services. Our capabilities are highly specialized and our projects often encompass unique situations that are technically complex or challenging within the regulatory framework. As a result, our services can range anywhere from evaluating traffic performance standards for a redevelopment project to applying and implementing new signal technology along a congested corridor.

ENGINEERING CGA s four engineering divisions - municipal/ utility, land development, highway, and electrical - all work together to serve as engineering consultants for a variety of private clients and governmental entities. Our expertise in water and wastewater facilities, civil site work design and permitting coupled with our extensive experience with major developers and contractors have enabled us to reduce design and capital costs for clients throughout South Florida. Plus, our relationships with permitting agencies and our keen awareness of regulatory updates result in a less stressful permitting process that benefits our clients. REDEVELOPMENT AND URBAN DESIGN CGA provides the services required to revitalize an area suffering from decline, neglect, or poor planning in order to improve local conditions. Our redevelopment and urban design professionals multi-disciplinary approach blends their extensive academic training with their experience in revitalization, town planning, public outreach, traffic engineering, surveying, planning and zoning, landscape architecture, and geographic information systems services. COASTAL ENGINEERING Clients with waterfront venues often have very high expectations regardless of whether the project is a deep water port or a luxury resort. Fortunately, CGA is known for delivering quality and timely consulting services to navigate the variety of logistical, design and strategic challenges these projects present. We provide feasibility and coastal dynamics studies, coastal zone management, shoreline stabilization and armoring, coastal and environmental permitting, dredging and waterway maintenance, storm risk assessments, wave, plume and surface water modeling, beach nourishment, and navigation inlet management.

DATA TECHNOLOGIES AND DEVELOPMENT CGA provides information technology (IT), geographic information systems (GIS), and application/software development services to local municipalities and county and state agencies. Our past projects range from software customization and GIS administration to IT network and help desk support. To better serve our municipal clients, we designed and developed INKforce, an enterprise government software solution that facilitates the critical business aspects of local government, including code enforcement, building and permitting, planning and zoning, and fire inspection tracking. Photo By: Joe Cavaretta / Sun Sentinel CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES CGA provides bid and constructability reviews, value engineering, construction inspection, CPM scheduling, cost estimation and construction claims analysis for public and private sector clients. Our staff is CTQPcertified (Construction Technician Qualification Program) and cross trained to meet all the needs of our diverse and ever-growing client base. Construction management services include successful delivery of projects contracted under traditional and alternate project delivery methods, including design/build, design/build/operate/maintain, and CM at Risk. In the field, we are the eyes and ears for the engineer and perform timely inspections of all components providing accurate daily quantities of materials and work performed. No matter the project size, we follow proven construction management techniques to ensure quality construction and timely completion for all our clients. INDOOR AIR QUALITY South Florida s environment is conducive to moisture-related issues that can often lead to fungal growth that may negatively affect the indoor airborne climate. CGA specializes in conducting general indoor air quality assessments to full moisture and mold assessments for residential and commercial properties, including marine vessels. We also conduct indoor environmental testing for clients seeking Leadership in Energy Design (LEED) certification through the U.S. Green Build Council. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT Public, private and non-profit organizations at the local, state, and federal levels of government all play a key role in response to emergencies and disasters. Comprehensive, systematic coordination to develop, implement, and test emergency operations plans and validate response resources is essential to ensuring public safety. CGA creates customized training and multiagency exercises to ensure local emergency response teams are prepared to meet the challenges of a large-scale disaster and then support the recovery and long-term redevelopment activities that follow.
