06 OUR SERVICE APPROACH At GLP, we believe in taking a consultative approach to every client, advising you on the appropriate fixture and placement based on the available framework. Our designs are both elegant and functional catering to the aesthetical and technical requirements of the site, right from electrical specifications through to concept delivery according to the scale of the project. DESIGN After inspecting the site conditions and listening to your requirements, we prepare a lighting design for optimal, energy-efficient illumination of your indoor or outdoor space. If you are already working with an architect, interior designer or landscaper, we consult with them as well to ensure that all requests are met. DETAIL Once the basic design is approved, we recommend lighting fixtures from our range, and can propose different options to achieve the right aesthetic. We also discuss options for transformers, wiring circuits and practical issues such as where to locate switches. We can provide lighting load calculations, lux studies and technical data about the fixtures. DELIVERY The chosen products are then dispatched and installed at your premises. You will find that our turnaround times are extremely efficient, given that we keep ready stock on hand to ensure prompt delivery. Furthermore, your account manager is available for any queries, maintenance and trouble shooting post-delivery and installation.

08 STRATEGIC PARTNERS JAPAN With 24% of global LED market share, Nichia is the largest LED manufacturer in the world and inventor of the blue (and also white) light emitting diode. The innovative Nichia research department is a pioneer when it comes to efficiency and sets records on a regular basis. Nichia holds more IP than any other LED chip manufacturer. Durability, brightness and homogeneity are among the major strengths of the Nichia brand. A long-term laboratory study with more than 50 different white LED types and several thousands of individual measurement, detected a much longer durability as well as significantly lower degradation (loss of brightness) of Nichia LEDs compared to the average of all other light emitting diodes. For the consumer this translates to the confidence that a fixture made using Nichia LED will have consistent colour and brightness for many years after installation, the best heat management available, and thus achieve the optimal performance and lifetime expectancy of any LED light fixture.
09 BENEFITS OF LED Minimal power consumption: saves energy on average 80 to 90% over conventional lighting. Maintenance free: does not require any lamp changing for the lifetime of the LED. Does not operate at high frequency: Unlike CFL, LED works at low DC voltages, which are not harmful to humans. Does not contain mercury: Unlike CFL, LED does not contain mercury gas that is highly toxic and affects the ozone. Over 40,000 hours lifespan: Unlike CFL, halogen, metal halide and in-candescent, LED lasts a minimum of 40,000 hours (around 10 years with normal use), without any bulb changing. High Colour Rendering Index (CRI): LED has a CRI of 80 to 90. Increases visual acuity: Due to high CRI, LED provides a crisp clear day-light look. Instant on: LEDs turn on instantly without delay or flicker. Dimming capability: Unlike CFL or MH, LEDs can be dimmed smoothly, without flicker, using new-patented technology. Thermal management: LED light fixtures produce less heat, lowering air conditioning usage, and they do not burn the skin if touched.

12 NURAI ISLAND BY ZAYA (ABU DHABI) This stunning private resort island on the coast of Abu Dhabi has become famous for bringing a taste of the Maldives to the Arabian Gulf. 13 ATLANTIS THE PALM (DUBAI) Atlantis Hotel began a program 5 years ago to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs for the hotel landscape and indoor areas. 14 SHERATON CREEK HOTEL (DUBAI) GLP has helped reduce the power consumption of its back office, kitchens and utility rooms efficiently by replacing all the conventional lights to LEDs. 15 JUMEIRAH CORNICHE JOGGING TRACK (DUBAI) In partnership with WT Burden who constructed the distinctive wave-shaped shade structures along the new jogging track, GLP specified, manufactured and installed the stunning blue strip lights. The strips are made to withstand the intensely corrosive environment of the beach, and provide maximum illumination with minimal glare.
16 NOVOTEL HOTEL (SAUDI ARABIA) GLP supplied a large volume of high efficiency indoor and outdoor LED lighting to the Novotel Hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. GLP created aesthetically pleasing surroundings and a reduction in energy consumption for the hotel. Outdoor lighting: LED facade lights, LED spike lights, LED up lights and LED strip lights.
