One of the main areas of focus for Jennifer was the home s living room. The client wanted a horizontal fireplace, a style often used for projects seeking a modern look, but the home s overall style was decidedly classic. Jennifer was challenged with specifying and sourcing a horizontal fireplace that could be fused with traditional elements and complement the rest of the home s intended design theme. This goal was achieved by surrounding the COSMO gas fireplace, a popular linear model from Heat & Glo, with stunning transitional components that work well with both classic and modern styles. Featuring clean lines and sleek configuration, the COSMO fireplace was the ideal choice for this mid-range home seeking a hearth model that wouldn t overshadow the materials around it. These included a custom ledgestone surround, selected for its coordinating blue, grey, and cream hues and its horizontal shape that mimicked the lines of the fireplace. Flanked by custom floating cabinets, a chunky mantel, and light-reflective décor (including horizontal artwork as a focal point and shimmering metallic accessories), Jennifer was able to deliver a space that met the client s style goals while also giving the room ambiance and a stunning design feature.
