1. Introduction FT Series 5 includes many new features and benefits. In summary these include: Remote Alarms Monitoring using Contact ID Wizards to guide the operator through the process of setting up access control and creating cardholders 10BaseT connection to an existing network. All inputs, outputs and readers are user-definable they are not assigned specific functions. Name-based Cardholder management rather than IDnumber based. Downloadable code to field devices. Multiple cards for cardholders. System Division for multi-tenanted buildings. Line-by-line log printing. Dial-up access to field devices. OPC (alarms and events). Integrated Digital Camera incorporating motion sensing and exposure masking. Integrated intercom. There are also features that will be available in future Series 5 releases including: Auto evacuation report Challenge door Auto run executables Guard tours Zone count Application Programmers Interface Syst Com 131102 5
