Oil Fired Central Heating Providing nothing goes wrong and we hope nothing will, when you first arrive and have made a brew the heating should already be on and the house nice and warm! If you require the central heating go into the Hall and there you will see a NEST thermostat on the wall The thermostat already has a schedule keyed in that we think is all that is necessary and it should meet your needs. If however you should wish to higher or lower the temperature just turn the Outer Ring on the thermostat to the temperature you require and the boiler will switch on or off as desired. The thermostat is programmed to go into Night mode at 10pm so if you raise the temperature after that time please make sure to turn the thermostat back to 15 before retiring to bed. If the central heating does not switch on it is probably because the pressure at the boiler is low. Should this be the case please follow the attached instruction sheet. If the boiler still does not fire please call Mr. McShane see below. Before you go to bed or when you wish to turn the heating off Just turn the Outer Ring on the thermostat to the temperature you require ( I suggest 10 ) and the boiler will switch off. That is all there is to it. Enjoy your stay and make sure the central heating is off when you vacate the premises. If anything should go wrong with the heating please phone W. McShane on 01988 500611 or o7850013023 and request a visit.

Vacating the property at 12:00 hours will help our cleaner a lot. Please could you strip your beds and place used sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers and towels in the bath, our cleaner will do the rest. Before you leave could you please read the oil level meter in the utility room i.e the number of bars showing and also read the electricity meter in the porch overhead cupboard.. Please phone the reading through to us on 01204 497165 Pleaase Note There is a Guest Book on the hall table for your comments if you wish to add any. After you have locked up please put the keys through the letter box. Thanking you for your assistance on this matter and we hope you enjoyed your stay on The Isle, Neil and Pat McMahon Emergency Tel Nos. CENTRAL HEATING BOILER WILL NOT FIRE Go to the boiler room where you will see the boiler. At the top left hand side there are two knobs, one big and one small. Never touch the big one at all the small should be set at the 80 o mark. TO CHECK & RESET THE PRESSURE OF THE BOILER You will need a torch for this there is one on the on top of the boiler. 1) Open the boiler door 2) Check the pressure gauge ( as shown in photo ) 3) If the black pointer is below the green area then the pressure is too low and needs adjusting 4) There is a filling valve at floor level in the front of the boiler ( as shown in photo ). This needs to be opened slightly by turning a little in the anti clockwise direction. To do this you will need a screw driver which can be found in the cupboard in the conservatory ( in a black box) 5) After you crack the valve open you will hear water being admitted to the boiler. Watch or get someone else to watch the pressure gauge and when the Black Pointer is in the Green Area ( as shown in photo ) 6) Shut the valve by turning clockwise until it reaches a stop. 7) The boiler should now fire when the thermostat in the hall is set to the required temperature. 8) If it does not then phone W. McShane and ask for assistance.
