The Bio-Burner has user regulated settings as well as built-in safety features to protect you and your burner. USER CONTROLLED SETTINGS: Use your color touch screen to program and monitor several aspects of the machine - Fuel feed (pulse or constant flow) - Fuel feed rate from hopper - Combustion air minimum and maximum settings - Combustion chamber max temp - Water temperature settings - Smoke Guard settings - Gas backup feature (included) SAFETY FEATURES: Combustion Chamber Temp. Limit (2 stages) Heat Exchanger Water Temp. Limit (2 stages) Flue Gas Temp. Limit Fuel Tube Temp Limits ID Fan Speed Feedback Fuse Circuit Feedback Computer Controller
Combustion Chamber On/Off Tri-Temperature Controlled Design - Unlike other technologies that only measure water temperature to control the machine, The Bio-Burner monitors 3 different aspects of the process dynamically: > Water Temperature > Combustion (flame) Temperature > Flue Gas Temperature - Fuel and air rates are constantly monitored and regulated to operate dynamically within programmed limits Computer Controlled Fuel/Air Ratio - The combustion process is designed for only a few minutes worth of fuel in the chamber at any time. Problems associated with smoldering piles of fuel are eliminated. - Fuel to air ratio is an integral part of obtaining an efficient burn. Unlike other burners, The Bio-Burner allows control of this ratio without the high maintenance of an oxygen sensor. Turn Off Feature - The turn-down feature, common to most other burners, refers to starving the flame of oxygen which in turn creates smoke, high emissions, creosote build-up & wasted fuel. The Bio-Burner does not turn-down, it turns fuel off completely when operating parameters have been met. - The Turn Off feature (computer controlled metering of fuel) allows the killing of the flame almost instantaneously which in turn means higher efficiency, lower emissions, little or no smoke, no creosote & no wasted fuel. Smoke Guard feature - User settings (1-10) allow the user to set the machine limits on the amount of smoke generated during startup or restarts. A setting of 10 will nearly guarantee you will operate 99.9% smoke free.
BB-100 uses a 6 x60 (minimum) flue pipe (not included). Because of The Bio-Burner s ON/OFF Tri-Temperature Controlled Design and non-existent creosote build-up, there is no need (*) for an expensive triple wall flue pipe. Due to the built-in ash collection cyclone, there is no need (*) for an expensive/ineffective spark arresting cap because The Bio-Burner flue emmissions are already SPARK FREE. * Check local codes for installation requirements. Flue Pipe 4 Front Side Maintenance The Bio-Burner comes with 2 ash removal locations on the front of the base unit. One is for ash removal from the combustion chamber and the other is for fly ash collected from the heat exchanger tube clean-out. Ash tray and manual ash auger are supplied. *With an average heat load using standard fuel, ash only needs to be emptied every 3+ days.
Igniter Service Panel Easy access panel for servicing igniter system and making tension adjustments Gas Hookup - Either propane or natural gas may be used for igniting the burner and gas backup system Fuel Igniter in combustion chamber Stir Motor Chain Tension Adjustment 6 Heat Exchanger Service Panel The Bio-Burner has a built-in heat exchanger tube cleaning design inside the service panel. Heat Exchanger Tube Cleanout Rods - Spin rods and fly ash that may have collected in tubes will fall into ash removal tray below Remove ash from tray - Use the ash pan to remove ash via the access panel below the heat exchange
400 Gallon Fuel Hopper/Surge Bin Up to 2 week fuel supply (dependent on fuel type and heat load) Non-Bridging Design (rotating floor and auger feed) Multi-Fuel Design (all fuels fed through same dispenser) **All fuels screened through 1 vibratory screen** - Wood chips - Sawdust - Pellets - Corn - Grains - Agricultural waste - And more Computer Controlled Feed Rate - Continuous feed - Pulse On/Off Easy-Fill Design allows filling in 15 min or less Semi-Translucent Tank for visually gauging fuel level Can be used as primary fuel delivery or as a surge tank in bulk fuel applications 8 Automated Fuel Delivery System Computer Controlled Feed Rates - Fuel augured out of fuel hopper into combustion feed auger Multi-Fuel Design - All fuel types fed with same auger system -Reverse tool-less restrictor plate when changing from free flow fuel (ie: corn, pellets) to non-flowing fuel (wood chips, sawdust, crop stover) View Port for inspecting fuel input tube & combustion chamber
Anti-freeze Reservoir The reservoir s main purpose is to keep air out of the heat exchanger by maintaining a full level of anti-freeze. The reservoir provides a chamber for expansion of the anti-freeze upon heating. Fill and maintain anti-freeze at Cold Fill Level Semi-Translucent Tank to easily gauge anti-freeze level Vent tube will run off excess anti-freeze if overfilled 9 10 Fire Safety Tank Another safety feature of The Bio-Burner is this optional Fire Safety Water Tank. If fuel were to somehow back up the fuel tube and catch fire (after passing by the safety switch in the fuel tube), the fuse plug will melt @ 165 and dump a fire extinguishing fluid down the incline fuel auger. Keep tank filled with recommended fluid only at all times Semi-translucent tank allows visibility of fluid level 11 Water Connection Access Panel Easy access to water and temperature control connections Inputs & Outputs Pump connection Drain Built in location to bolt a plate HX if desired
I.D. Fan Vent This ventilation system prevents overheating of the ID fan by providing an escape for hot air. 13 Cyclone Access Door Provides easy access to Fly Ash Collection system - Fly Ash Cyclone - Collects fly ash and sparks from emissions before entering flue = clean emissions + no sparks Computer Controlled Draft Fan (ID Fan) - Air is pulled through instead of being injected into the burner (negative pressure system) Ash Collection Bucket - Tool-less quick disconnect for easy emptying System air inlet - Combustion air enters here The area serves as your miscellaneous tool cabinet
