Daikin water chiers are renowned throughout the word for their advanced technoogy, reiabiity and fexibe design characteristics a rare combination that enabes their use in a wide spectrum of appications. FLEXIBLE APPLICATION AND EASY INSTALLATION 7 cooing ony (10 53kW) and heat pump (cooing 9 50kW and 12 60kW) modes are avaiabe, each comprising 3 different moduar based design options. Top of the range is mode B an "a in one " version, compete with hydrauic modue incorporating 55 iter buffer tank, pump, 12 iter expansion vesse, air purge, manometer, shut off vave and optiona freeze protection. A sighty ower specification version mode P is simiar to the Bversion, but does not contain a buffer tank. The third option is a basic mode N, without hydrauic modue. Main switch, fow switch and water fiter are fitted as standard to a 3 options. ENERGY EFFICIENT SCROLL COMPRESSOR The heart of the unit is the Daikin hermetic mutipe scro compressor, designed to the very highest technica standards and optimised for use with zero ODP, chorine free R407C refrigerant. Pressure osses are minimised by reduced axia cearance and the scro centre has been redesigned to reduce over consumption. Improved motor efficiency ensures an optima performance and a compressor EER rating of 3.5 minimum. Voumetric efficiency is enhanced by better suction gas distribution and controing superheat generated by the scro. The presence of more than 1 miion of these units in the fied is testament to their ow power consumption, high compression efficiency, ow operating sound eves and starting torque and abiity to operate in word wide environments. EFFICIENT HEAT TRANSFER The use of a brazed, stainess pate heat exchanger for the evaporator ensures maximum heat transfer between refrigerant and water circuits within minima and compact areas with high W/m 2 vaues that ensure optimum efficiency. Pate heat exchangers aso offer more efficient pump seection than can be achieved with other s of heat exchangers. Aso, the counter fow design utiised for refrigerant and water overcomes a probems associated with R407C temperature gide characteristics. Condenser cois are constructed from speciay designed header distribution pipes, in combination with internay grooved HiX tubing and auminium waffe ouver pressed fins. This unique combination of increased contact surfaces and reduced overa coi size, resuts in optimum heat transfer efficiency. Protection against severe weather conditions is provided by specia poyethyene (PE) treatment of the condenser cois. FLEXIBLE CONTROL The chier is fitted with a µ chier auto diagnostic controer enabing it to be integrated with a buiding management system (BMS), which can monitor and contro chiers, ighting, aarms and ventiation etc. The Daikin BMS connection supports popuar standard protocos such as MODBUS, JBUS and BACNET and consists of buitin address cards for each chier and a singe gateway that can ink as many as 16 units to the BMS. The BMS supports the compete operation of the chier and can aso monitor and contro more than 130 parameters incuding unit settings, status, temperatures, pressures, aarm, set points and on/off operation. A remote user interface is aso avaiabe as option. UNIT IMPROVEMENTS Numerous refinements have been incorporated in the new range. A components are easiy accessibe for maintenance and the service door fixings are of improved quaity. Aso, power can be cut via the main switch before the door is opened. A singe interface is used throughout the entire range and can be accessed without toos. Pump startup can be achieved manuay when the chier is switched off and an additiona connection has been fitted in the switchbox for fied instaed heater tape. RELY ON SOUND Noise suppression an important factor of everyday ife is afforded high priority by Daikin and the company has ongterm experience in suppressing unit noise and reducing vibration by means of specia piping design.
