ISA Las Vegas Section Fall Classic 2011 Technical Sessions On October 20, 2011, this year s Free Technical Training Sessions will consist of some very advanced technologies used in the automation and information industries. We will offer 1 PDH credit for each session. The first technical training session which runs from 2:20 P.M. until 3:20 P.M., will cover a technology that is probably the most utilized power system in the world. We have Alexis Dennis from ATI with Jerome Korthase from EnerSys Reserve Power Group presenting Advanced Battery Technology- the Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) Advantage. TPPL technology is setting new standards for industrial battery performance, and should be of great interest to you and your organization. The second training session, which runs from 3:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M., will cover Southern Nevada Water System (SNWS) continuous on line potable water analyzer sample systems design and operating standards. This session will cover the essential components, performance specifications and piping guidelines required to build and operate an SNWS potable water sample system. This is a great opportunity for technicians and operators to gain insight into how these systems are constructed and utilized in potable water as well as some waste water systems. Stephen Pickard, Mechanical Engineer PE and Jeff Blue, Control Systems Engineer, CAP, both from the Southern Nevada Water System, will present the SNWS Sample Systems for Potable Water. For information about the ISA Las Vegas Fall Classic Training, Exhibition and Golf Tournament on October 20, please contact Jeff Blue at (702) 249-1156 or jeff.blue@lvvwd.com.
