GENERAL INFORMATION Introduction Please read this guide before using the appliance. This guide contains important instructions for proper and safe use of the appliance. Warnings This appliance dispenses fresh brewed coffee, coffee-based drinks, and filtered water. To keep the appliance and base cabinet clean and hygienic, and all beverages tasting fresh, follow all steps listed in the OPERATION and CLEANING AND CARE sections of this manual. Access to the service area (appliance and base cabinet interior areas) is restricted to persons having knowledge and practical experience of the appliance; in particular regarding safe handling and operation and performing cleaning tasks and maintaining adequate hygiene. Only persons who have been adequately trained should access the service area, if you require training contact your distributor for applicability or other options. To prevent dry ingredient spoilage, all dry ingredients (coffee beans, ground coffee, sugar, ingredient powders, etc.) should be used up and refilled within one month, or disposed of and replaced if older than one month. Never immerse the appliance, plug or mains cable in water. There is a danger of electric shock. Do not use the appliance outdoors where it can be exposed to severe weather (rain, snow, frost). It will cause material damage to the appliance. Prevent the appliance from freezing. If the water in the hydraulic system does freeze, do not use the appliance. Unplug it an contact a technician to inspect it an perform necessary repairs. Always keep this guide close at hand for future reference. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. The appliance is only to be installed in locations where it can be overseen by trained personnel. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Do not use the appliance if the mains cable, plug is damaged or the appliance has fallen over. If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Only plug the appliance into a properly installed earth-grounded safety socket with line voltage matching the technical data for the appliance. The A-weighted sound pressure level is below 70 db. The pressure of the CO2 compressed gas cylinder should never exceed 0.35MPa (3.5bar). 3

GENERAL INFORMATION Precautions Do not try to open the appliance or repair it in any way. Only have the appliance repaired in a technical workshop, service centre or by a qualified person. Remove the mains cable from the socket when the appliance is not in use for longer periods. To do this, pull the plug not the cable. This appliance must be placed in a horizontal surface resistant to any water that may leak. Place the appliance out of the reach of children. Intended use This appliance is intended to be used in applications such as: - Staff kitchen areas in shops. - Offices and other commercial working environments. - On agricultural estates. - By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments. - Bed and breakfast type environments. Position the mains cable so that people cannot trip over it. Keep it away from sharp edges and heat sources. The new hose-sets supplied with this appliance are to be used, old hose-sets must not be re-used. This appliance is not suitable for installation in an area where a water jet could be used. This appliance must not be cleaned by a water jet. For the optimal performance of the appliance these parameters shall not be exceeded: - Maximum inlet water pressure : 800KPa (8Bar) - Minimum inlet water pressure: 200KPa (2Bar) - Maximum working temperature: 40ºC - Minimum working temperature: 10ºC Hazard intensity levels There are two different levels of notification intensity within this manual, as identified by the signal words WARNING and Note. OPERATION Note: i The appliance is automatically blocked from normal use whenever the door is open. When opening the appliance or base cabinet door during routine user operation or cleaning and care, avoid touching or inserting objects into any parts that move when the appliance is in use. If you are unsure what parts move during use, refer to the Technical Manual for more information. Filling the MF13 bean hopper 01 02 Open the door. Slide the bean hopper out. Remove the lid, fill the bean hopper with freshly roasted coffee beans. 03 Slide the bean hopper back to into position, there will be an audible click when the hopper is in the correct position. Filling the MF04 coffee canister 02 01 O pen the door. Rotate the canister outlet upward. Lift the coffee canister up until it releases, then slide it out. 10 Remove the lid, fill the canister with coffee grounds. 03 R eplace the canister and rotate the canister outlet down into the brew chamber.

OPERATION i Note: EVO is available with an optional high capacity bean hopper extension kit. The instructions below only apply to models with the kit installed. Filling the bean hopper extension 01 02 03 Unlock the bean hopper extension lid using the included key and rotate the lid back to open it. Fill the bean hopper with freshly roasted coffee beans. Close the bean hopper lid and lock it. Be sure to remove and store the key in a safe place. Removing the bean hopper extension 01 02 03 Open the door. Slide the extension lock handle forward about 2 CM to close the extension s bean chute and release the extension body. Lift the hopper extension straight up to free it from the bean channel below. When replacing the hopper extension, align the base with the bean channel in the top of the hopper and ensure it is flush with the top panel. Then slide the lock in to secure it and reopen the chute. 11

OPERATION Filling the ingredient canisters 01 02 03 A Open the door. Turn the canister chute knob (A) clockwise to close it before pulling it out. Lift the canister slightly to release it, slide the canister out. Remove the lid, fill the canister with the appropriate ingredient. 04 Replace the canisters and rotate the canister chute know counter clockwise to open it. Make sure the outlets all point down and into the mixing bowls. 12

Choose a drink by pressing a drink button on the display. Adjust the drink to your personal preferences then press START. Making a multi-serve drink 01 02 03 Place a jug under the correct outlet. (Left outlet for coffees, right outlet for water.) Choose a drink by pressing a drink button on the display. Press the Jug button and select the number of servings to be made in succession. Adjust the drink to your personal preferences then press START. i Note: The multi-serve drink feature is only available when activated by the operator or distributor. 13

Within a few seconds the Operator Mode menu will display on the touchscreen (see Fig. 2). Press the desired button to access the function needed, then follow the on screen instructions to complete each function. Close and lock the door, then press EXIT (see Fig. 3) on the touchscreen to return to the home screen. 14

Empty the tray and wash the drip tray and grids with warm water and a brush then dry and replace. 03 04 Place a new waste bag in the bin and put it back in. Close the door. i Open the door. Remove the waste bin and take out and dispose of the waste bag. Clean the interior and waste bin as needed with a warm damp cloth as needed. Replace the drip tray and wipe down the exterior of the appliance with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth to removed any smudges or spills. Note: All parts must be dry before replacing. 15

CLEANING AND CARE Routine base cabinet care 01 02 Open the door of the base cabinet. Remove the waste bin and take out and dispose of the waste bag. Clean the interior of the cabinet and waste bin as needed with a warm damp cloth as needed. 03 04 Place a new waste bag in the bin and put it back in the cabinet. Close the cabinet door and wipe down the exterior of the cabinet with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth to removed any smudges or spills. i 16 Note: All parts must be dry before replacing. WARNING: Do not tamper with or disconnect the CO2 cylinder, it is under high pressure. This task should only be done by a trained individual.

WARNING: Rinsing water is very hot! i 18 Follow the on screen instructions and then press START. Note: The weekly cleaning program rinses the mixing bowls, cleans the brewer, and shocks the valves to prevent limescale build-up.

ON SCREEN MESSAGES AND ALERTS Pop-up blocking messages When the following messages are displayed, the appliance will be blocked from use until necessary action is taken. Warning Description: Explanation: Required Action: Heating Water Wait for the water to finish heating. Low water temperature has been detected in the water tank. Wait for water to heat up. Temp Sensor Error A temp sensor error was detected, restart the appliance to clear the error. Water Level Sensor Error A water level sensor error was detected, restart the appliance to clear the error. Low Water Level Wait for the water tank to finish filling before dispensing a drink. The temperature sensor detects water temperature outside the normal operating range: <0 C or >105 C. The water level sensor is detecting a high level position but no low level position, which means a fault is present. The water level in the tank is low and the tank is filling. Restart the appliance from the main power switch. If the problem persists contact technical service. Restart the appliance from the main power switch. If the problem persists contact technical service. Wait for the tank to finish filling. Check Water Supply The water filling is taking too long, check the water supply connection. Heating Time Out The water is taking too long to heat up, restart the appliance to clear the error. Dispensing Door is opened during dispensing! The fill timer has timed out due to a lack of water. The heating timer has timed out. The door sensor detects that the door has been opened and the appliance cannot dispense safely. Check the water supply for leaks and make sure that the tap is not closed. Restart the appliance from the main power switch. If the problem persists contact technical service. Close the door and ensure it is locked properly. 19

ON SCREEN MESSAGES AND ALERTS Pop-up dispensing blocking messages When the following messages are displayed, an issue has been detected during dispensing that must be resolved before the beverage can be completed. Warning Description: Explanation Required Action: Please place left/right cup! Place a cup under the outlet, or remove and replace the cup under the correct outlet for the selected drink type. No cup is detected under the drink outlet. Place or remove and replace a cup under the correct outlet for the beverage selected. Replace Drip Tray Empty and replace the drip tray to continue to use this appliance. Warning Empty and replace the waste bin to continue to use this appliance. Replace Drip Tray The drip tray is too full to continue dispensing. The waste bin is too full to continue dispensing. The drip tray has been removed or is not fully inserted. Remove, empty, clean and replace the drip tray. Remove, empty, clean and replace the waste bin. Replace the drip tray. Pop-up dispensing non-blocking messages When the following messages are displayed, the appliance has reached its scheduled care or cleaning interval. The message can be dismissed two times to continue beverage dispensing, but at the third reminder service will be blocked until needed care is completed. Warning Description: Explanation Required Action: Daily Cleaning Daily cleaning is due, press OK to enter the Daily Cleaning function. Weekly Cleaning Weekly cleaning is due, open the door and insert the service key to enter the Weekly Cleaning function. The scheduled daily cleaning is required. The scheduled weekly cleaning cycle is required. Perform the daily cleaning tasks necessary to guarantee great tasting coffee and to keep the appliance clean and functioning properly. ON SCREEN MESSAGES AND ALERTS Warning messages The appliance has detected an issue that may affect beverage temperature or quality, or will soon require attention to prevent service blocking. Warning Description: Explanation: Required Action: Empty Waste Bin Open the door and empty the waste bin. Coffee Is Running Low Open the door and refill the coffee hopper or canister. Ingredients Running Low Open the door and refill the ingredient canisters. The waste bin is nearly full and will need to be emptied soon. The coffee beans or grounds are getting low and need to be refilled soon. The beverage ingredients are getting low and need to be refilled soon. Proceed with usage, or remove, empty, clean and replace the waste bin then reset the warning. Proceed with usage, or refill the coffee then reset the warning. For the warranty to be valid the conditions for maintenance must have been followed according to the manufacturer s instructions, proper precaution has been made and warranty claim has been issued without delay. The affected equipment may not be used while awaiting service if there is any risk that the damage or defect could worsen.
