Carbon Fiber Electric Heating Economic, Advanced, Ecologic Scenario In large environments the usual choice for heating are the air systems. This installation type requires a thermal power station, heat exchange batteries and ducts for the transport of hot air in the environments. The energy losses due to the generators yields and the heat losses in the pipes, reduce the system efficiency. Furthermore the phenomenon of air layering leads the warmer air in the high zone of the premises, contrary to the requirements. The movements of the dust and the condensates are also the effects of this type of plant that can ruin frescoes and plasters. Genius Carbon Radiant System Advantages Both from the standpoint of energy saving (and therefore economic) and environmental comfort, the ideal solution is to avoid convection due to air moving and ensure the heat only where needed. The radiant heating obtained by heating elements positioned on the floor or ceiling, is able to remedy the problems outlined above. Radiation is a heat exchange mode that uses infrared waves as a transfer vector. In reality, two bodies or two objects having different temperatures radiate naturally towards each other and the heat flux goes from the warmer to the colder one. The radiation released into the environment by heating (floor, wall, ceiling or radiant) is transformed into heat in contact with an object, a wall or a person. So, the infrared waves are not absorbed by the air but rather by solid bodies that turn them into heat energy, transmitted then in the environment, creating, thus, the optimal conditions for occupants comfort. Through electronic management you can control the temperature and the heating zones avoiding thus the unnecessary and costly waste of energy. 3 Thermal Technology www.thermaltt.com

Radiant Platforms Thermal Technology electric heating systems, using Carbon Fiber as resistor are recommended to heat the worship places, museums or ancient buildings. It is placed on the existent floor and by radiation heats persons residing on it. In the case of large environments, as churches, the heating can be localized only in areas with major human presence such as benches or celebration area. The construction method allows the optimization of useful thermal flow, minimizing the heat loss downwards, so the operating costs are reduced. The heating platforms for offices is particularly suitable for an intermittent operation, it can be switched-on shortly before the use of local, creating a comfort to the platform s occupants. The heating platform are not dimensioned for air heating of the entire environment, it is developed for local heating. The temperature of the platforms can be adjusted by means of probes connected to an electronic control unit. Daily use can help improve internal comfort as it limits the lowering of the temperature of the structures. The heating platforms can be constructed divided into zones, in order to activate only those necessary. The system is covered by more international patents, requires no maintenance, and is in fact devoid of boiler, pumps or hydraulic circuits. Installation is quick and non-invasive; costs are significantly lower than any other traditional system with air or water. The installed power for heating platforms is lower compared to traditional systems. Heating systems under-carpet or under-carpeting Radiant heating under-carpet or under-moquette is the ideal solution to warm places with heating temporary needs or for the occurrence of events, meetings, fairs, parades, etc.. The system is composed of heating elements that will be placed adjacent to one another and laid on the existing floor. The installation and removal of the whole system is quick and easy. Each element has a power cable for direct connection to the electrical panel and a temperature sensor for controlling the operation in base of temperature. The particular stratification of the under-carpet allows obtaining a good thermal insulation downwards and a plan semi-rigid on the upper surface, which is necessary for the support of chairs, tables, etc... Above the under-carpet heating layer can be placed carpet, rugs or carpets. The product can be integrate with radiant platforms on presbytery area as during the summer season can be easily removed, leaving the altar to its original appearance. Composition: 1- Aramidic fabric; 2- Metallic mesh connected to earth; 3- Carbon Fiber heating cables (anti-flame); 4- Thermal insulator (fire reaction class 1); Under-carpet system thickness: 8,5mm. 1 2 3 4 Thermal Technology www.thermaltt.com 6

Application Examples: 7 Thermal Technology www.thermaltt.com

Heating Systems for Indoors Application Examples: The patented electric heating system, only 4 mm thick, is ideal for all types of buildings, whether it is new construction or renovation or renewal of individual rooms. The heating panels are incorporated to the floor and the walls are free from the bulky radiators, giving total freedom in furniture positioning. The installation of the heating mesh directly under floor (ceramic, porcelain, marble or parquet) allows the heating of the environment more quickly than traditional systems thanks to the reduced mass. System is an alternative to the traditional hydronic floor heating. Heating Cushions Esempi di applicazione: Heated cushions for seats and benches made in semi-rigid tapestry with thermal insulating padding. They improve the comfort of the person who sits, are suitable to be used in places such as chairs of the celebrants, the choir pews or benches of the assembly. Thermal Technology www.thermaltt.com 8

Heating Systems for Outdoors The heating mesh for outdoors is the ideal solution for the problems caused by the accumulation of snow and ice on alleys, outdoor stairs and driveways. They can be installed in the concrete under the asphalt, porphyry, and cement blocks. The system can also be made to measure according to specific designs or by combining various heating modules. Using the Ice Detector kit including electronic control unit and temperature and humidity probes the system operates automatically and only when is necessary. Application Examples: 9 Thermal Technology www.thermaltt.com

Radiant Panels for benches For those situations where it is not possible to cover the floor Thermal Technology has developed this innovative heating solution consists of a painted steel panel, properly attached to the frame of the bench. The whole system is controlled by an electronic control unit that allows you to manage rationally the consumption and areas of use. System Advantages: Esempi di applicazione: Easy to install. Do not require masonry. Small dimensions. Use less energy than other systems. Do not cover the floor. Radiant Panels The radiators contain a heating panel in Carbon Fiber that transfers the heat to a front plate made in painted steel. The radiators are heating the environment using both the frontal plate radiation and the natural convective air motion created through the channels located behind the frontal plate. These panels are recommended in confined areas (offices, sacristy, and services). The radiators are available in different models: metal, glass, with or without controller. There are some models equipped with forced ventilation. Thermal Technology www.thermaltt.com 10

- GARANZIA DIECI ANNI - Patented Technology Thermal Technology is since 2001 a leader company in developing new heating technologies using the Carbon Fiber as resistive element. The Carbon is the advanced element that sustains the entire production of heating systems that use the Genius Carbon patented technology. The advanced research activity allowed the Company to develop and implement highly efficient and flexible solutions in both construction and industrial domain. Thermal Technology offers a wide range of products for all solutions with a considerable energy saving. Carbon Fiber main features: is not a metal; low electrical conductivity (997 times less than copper); low thermal conductivity (3 times less of copper); low density (3.7 times less than copper); high specific heat (1.87 times more than copper); high resistivity (2,060 times more than copper). With the following results: absence of electromagnetic fields; absence of thermal inertia; storage capacity for considerable heat amount; ability to rapidly dissipate the accumulated heat. Radiators Heating carpets Heating cushions Radiant panels for benches Heating platforms Heating layer under carpet/carpeting Floor heating system - 50% INSTALLATION COSTS Connection is done directly to electric grid.
