16.10.2017 Monday 10.00-13.00 Arrival to Vienna 15.00-18.30 Vienna from Above. Urbanistic impressions from Kahlenberg Сoncept and organization: Sarah Gold and Michaela Fodor Meeting point: TU Wien main entrance The most memorable part of the first day was a wonderful walk through the city. This was organized for us by the TU students. We visited the main elements of the central part of the city, revealing the various stages of planning in Vienna. In addition, we enjoyed the atmosphere of urban life by visiting the University of Vienna, the pedestrian street of Mariahilferstrasse, and the Museum Quarter. It was very interesting for us to learn about how solutions for busy street traffic can work for different types of users. The day ended with a walk to Kalenberg where we enjoyed the panoramic view of the city.
