Arena Note: The Arena facility is usually closed on weekends during the summer season, however if a person is interested to book the rink surface (no ice) on these days, we will open the Arena at the time desired by the Lessee. We had to have the float switch replaced for the condenser reservoir as it was sticking. parts, and much more. It is very important to the staff of Parks and Recs to ensure our equipment are being maintained and that all equipment are to code. We ensure the safety of our workers is priority by taking 15 to 20 min before every use to inspect the equipment. Playground Inspections: This inspection is done on a monthly basis, to ensure the safety of the public. This process takes approximately an hour for the big playground near the Arena and around 30 min at the small park. It is our goal to ensure that our parks are up to code and that our children are safe. Cutting and grooming of lawn The maintenance in our lawn takes 1-3 days a week, depending in the weather conditions. We have a big area of lawn to cover in the town, such as the little park, the grass around the sidewalks, municipal office, field behind wellness centre, fire hall, lawn at community Centre and horse Coral, Cemetery, and all of the baseball fields at the Arena. As well as ditching in certain areas Baseball Field Maintenance The maintenance on our ball fields take approximately 1-2 days a week depending on the weather conditions. Horse Coral The maintenance of the horse Coral, consist of plowing the rink. This is task is performed depending on rink conditions. Community Centre The community centre gets a weekly checkup, to ensure the facility is in good state. This is to ensure that there is no vandalism, break or enter performed and that temperature is adjusted when not utilize, no leaking pipes and overall no hazards.
