MOVING AND STORAGE IN NEW CLUB-HOUSE: SUB-TASKS OVERSEER: JAN J Volunteers will be assigned to teams responsible for one of the following task areas: TASK AREA # 1: UNDER_DECK STORAGE TASK AREA #2 OFFICE STORAGE, RECEPTION DESK, SHIPS STORE & PODIUM TASK AREA #3 BAR, KITCHEN, SERVING TABLE & BATHROOM TASK AREA #4 OUTSIDE SHED The job of each team will be to 1. Locate all items in the old clubhouse listed for storage or retention in your assigned Task Area. 2. Sort through & discard broken, useless, & redundant items 3. Clean and re-box items if necessary 4. Itemize contents of each box in a list (one page per box) and identify box (by number & location in new clubhouse) 5. Transfer packed boxes to their assigned location in the new clubhouse (re-negotiate assigned space if needed and record changes in location) 6. Submit lists of contents of boxes (or shelved items) to OVERSER who should reconcile list of contents with Master Inventory 7. PREPARE AND POST DISCRETE LABLES THAT CAN HELP OTHER CLUB MEMBERS QUICKLY LOCATE (OR WHERE TO LOCATE STORE) ITEMS WHEREEVER POSSIBLE (ESPECIALLY IN THE KITCHEN AND BAR AREA).
PROPOSAL FOR DISCARDING UNWANTED ITEMS What is one person s trash is another s treasure Any two club members can propose discarding items. These items will be separated and placed in a the bar area of the old club house where they can be inspected by other members, Club members who donated the item to be disposed of have first right to reclaim ownership. Items that have retail value can be advertised on Craigslist or sold to any member at fair prices The remaining unwanted items are available free on a first come- first served basis with the residual donated to charity or dumped in the garbage.
