Title: Flag Object: Candle stick Client: Normann Copenhagen Size: 10x10x9 cm Material: Die cast zinc Flag is a candlestick designed to be suitable for die casting. This is a rational method which allows the product to be made in one piece and also gives it weight and stability. Die casting is cost-efficient and makes the product price-worthy and available for many people. The material is durable and will only look better with time. The design is inspired by a nautical theme where the handle assimilates a flag and the base a floating buoy. 2 of 13
Title: Studio Object: Floor lamp + table lamp Client: Örsjö Belysning AB Size: 40x40x130 cm/20x20x45 cm Material: Steel Stage lighting and studio equipment has always excited me. There is something profoundly interesting with all the functional gadgets that are found in a photo studio. Objects of primitive and simplistic form, but with refined details of solid steel or aluminium. The Studio lamps are an attempt to transform this inspiring aesthetic to a consumer product. The lamps combine a heavy-duty look with large shades and a clip-on attachment of the lamp cords with refined details such as adjustment handles of solid steel and shiny reflectors to enhance the light. While the floor lamp has a simplistic but crude approach the desktop version appears subtle and cultivated due to change in scale. 3 of 13
Title: Cumulus Object: Section sofa Client: Mitab Size: 70x78x77 cm/70x123x77 cm Materials: Plywood base, polyether foam, upholstery There is a lack of public seating with soft and inviting shapes. Sofas for public spaces are usually strict and linear to allow for easy cleaning and are up-right, rather than laidback. The Cumulus sofa is intended for public spaces but has the comfy and generous look of home furnishing, but also the functional and technical qualities required in restaurants and hotels. By using various foam qualities the upholstery is maintained flat and easy to clean and the seat firm to give good support for dining in restaurants. The Cumulus range includes four sections which can be combined by choice; narrow, wide, corner and end section with armrest. 4 of 13

The form is simplistic and invites to informal settings. The Trio Vases are a set available in four colours; cobalt blue, bottle green, amber brown and clear glass. They come in a nice gift box to impress and at a price that leaves no excuses. 5 of 13
Title: Hello floor lamp Object: Floor lamp Client: Normann Copenhagen Size: 50x50x165 cm Material: Steel, birch, acrylic I strive to design objects that look simple and uncomplicated, and not technical. Objects that have a graphic appearance like symbols or icons. The Hello floor lamp is like that. Its simplistic shape questions why things have to be - or look - so complicated. The lamp combines a large shade with an acrylic diffuser to create a soft and pleasant light with a simple rod of solid birch. The birch stem contrasts the metal parts and adds a level of playfulness. 6 of 13
Title: Vault Object: Key cabinet Client: Designtorget Size: 25x20x13 cm Material: Steel, brass I have a lot of keys. Half of them could probably be thrown away, since I don t have a clue where I got them or where they could lead me. I keep them anyway, just in case. I wish there was a good and safe place to store them, where I could sort them out and arrange them once and for all. - Don t you have a lot of keys too? Vault is a key cabinet with inspiration drawn from old-fashioned bank safe deposit boxes. The cabinet is equipped with ten hooks to give plenty of room and ways to arrange you keys. Vault is small enough to fit anywhere and nice enough to show. 7 of 13

With inspiration drawn from the simplistic furniture crowding the sidewalks in Paris, the range aspires to become a modern day icon. Montmartre honours the legacy of traditional furniture making, but is made of steel tubes instead of bentwood, giving it a sturdy and playful expression. The product range was introduced in 2010 with a stacking armchair and a small round table, followed by three low lounge tables in 2011. New members of the Montmartre family for 2012 are stools in three heights and two tall espresso tables with large coat hooks. 8 of 13

Jonas Wagell Design & Architecture Timmermansgatan 5 118 25 Stockholm, Sweden info@jonaswagell.se www.jonaswagell.se www.helloindustry.se www.minihouse.se yay, new site! Jonas Wagell is trained in graphic design, marketing, product design and architecture at schools including Konstfack, Beckmans, Berghs and Parsons and has a back record in strategic project management and communication. My design is focused on functional items rather than artistic objects. I appreciate products that can be used every day and become a part of people s lives. I believe affection and emotion is more important than exclusivity and expensive materials. My aim is to create simplistic objects that are easy to understand and use, but try to add something personal and expressive. I like to call this philosophy a generous minimalism. 12 of 13
