Kongskilde KF Aspirators Capacities up to 60 t/h Mode of Operation - KF Aspirators KF 12 KF 20/40/60 The KF aspirator pre-cleaners are suitable for capacities from 10 t/h and 60 t/h. The unclean crop is fed into the pre-cleaner chamber and distributed evenly at the bottom of the precleaner cone by means of baffle (KF12) or rotor (KF 20/40/60). The blower creates an upwards moving air stream. Lighter impurities are picked up by this air stream and pulled into the blower. The blower discharges the impurities through a pipeline to the desired location. The clean crop exits the pre-cleaner through the bottom outlet hopper. The KF series offer various pre-cleaner models depending on required capacities and space available. Dimensions (mm) Recommended maximum discharge pipe lengths from the blower: 25 m for KF 12 and 15 m for KF 20/40/60. All the KF models can be connected to OK160/ OK200 pipelines (see photo). Kongskilde KFP Aspirators for high Capacities Mode of operation - KFP Aspirator Dimensions (mm) All the KFP models can be connected to pipelines with diameter 250mm/300mm. Stands are also available for the KFP models. KFP 80/120 J I H The KFP aspirator models are suitable for capacities above 80 t/h. The unclean crop is fed through the inlet (1) to a motor driven distributor table (2). This distributor table distributes the crop evenly through an upwards moving air stream. The clean crop is discharged through the bottom outlet (3). The blower draws air vertically through the inlet (4). As the air moves upwards through the down-falling crop, light impurities such as dust are captured and transported with the air to the top outlet (5) and through the blower. The air used for the cleaning process can either be discharged directly to the ambient, delivered into a cyclone or filter or partly recycled to the air inlet (4) depending on the desired option. There are 2 standard KFP aspirator models called KFP standard and KFP S standard. The model called KFP S has an extended body (cleaning chamber). This model provides a more efficient cleaning especially in light commodities such as grass seeds. The KFP S is also recommend when cleaning utilising only 50% or less of the rated maximum capacity. Recommended maximum pipe lengths between the blower and dust cyclone: 15 m for pipelines with no bends and 10 m for pipelines with 2 bends. KDC 4000 Dual Cleaner The dual cleaner KDC 4000 cleans the crop with rotating screens and air. This two stage cleaning process ensures that both heavy and light impurities are removed. The KDC 4000 can also be used for cleaning and grading malting barley. Malting barley can be delivered to market completely clean directly from the farm, and the barley not suitable for malting can be utilised for feed. Furthermore it is possible to use the KDC 4000 for cleaning to seed quality. The wide range of screens options available for the KDC 4000 ensures there are screens for most crops and desired capacities and cleaning level. It is important to remember that during the cleaning process, the commodity has to pass through a set of screens forming the inner drum. The selection of inner screens will determine the amount of large impurities that are removed as well as capacity. It should be noted that the smaller the perforation of the screen is, the more large impurities are removed, but at a reduced overall capacity. Inner screens with larger perforation increase the capacity, but do not remove as high an amount of impurities. The KDC 4000 is constructed of galvanised steel, thus suitable for outdoor use. The screens on the outer drum retain the crop. So the perforation of the outer screens determine how much of the foreign material (small impurities) will be released. The larger the perforations on the outer screens, the cleaner the crop will be, however, smaller good grains can be released if too large a perforation is selected. Technical Data Two trailer options are available for the KDC 4000 - with or without lights and brakes. Weight Without screens: 890 kg Screen area Inner screen: 4.1 m 2 Outer screen: 6.5 m 2 Speed Screen drums: 22 rpm/min. Motor Motor for the screen drums: 1.5 kw Motor for the blower: 4 kw Motor for the waste auger: 0.75 kw Pipe connections Intake unclean crop: OK 200 Outlet cleaned crop: OK 200 Outlet blower - light impurities: OK 200 Outlet waste auger large and small impurities: OK 160 Dimensions (mm)
Mode of Operation - KDC 4000 Combi-Cleaner Unclean crop enters the cleaner via the inlet (1), into the rotating inner drum screens (2) where large impurities are removed and then ejected at the end of the inner drum falling into the waste auger (4). The crop and small impurities pass through the inner screen onto the outer drum screens (3). These outer screens allow small impurities to pass through and fall into the waste auger (4). As the crop travels towards the end of the outer screen drum (8), it is delivered into the aspirator chamber (9). Dust and light impurities are removed from the crop by the aspirator blower (6). The clean crop is discharged through an OK 200 outlet (10) and the light impurities are delivered into the waste blow line (7) All impurities removed by means of the screen are collected in the waste auger trough (4). The operator has following options: - Discharge the large impurities through a waste outlet OK 160 on the auger trough (12). - Discharge the small impurities through a waste outlet OK 160 on the auger trough (5). - Auger both the small and large impurities into the waste blow line (7). The impurities discharged via the waste blow line (7) can be delivered into a silo or a wagon. When grading, for instance, malting barely the small grain can be delivered through a special outlet (13) to keep them separated from the large and light impurities. All impurities removed by screens as well as aspirator discharged into the trash blow line. Impurities separated by screens and the aspirator discharged separately. Crop Large impurities Small impurities Light impurities 1 Inlet OK200 2 Inner screen drum 3 Outer screen drum 4 Waste trough auger 5 Screening outlet OK160 6 Blower 7 Injector 8 Scoop elevating section 9 Aspiration chamber 10 Outlet for clean crop 11 Air bleed 12 Outlet from inner screen 13 Outlet for small grains, e.g. malting barley Aspects Influencing the Cleaning and Capacity There are various factors regarding the cleaning or grading job required. The dirtier the crop, the longer it will take to clean it. The choice of screens is an important factor. However, the crop also has to spend sufficient time on the screens in order for the screens to do a good cleaning job. With the adjustable legs the KDC 4000 can be tilted slightly in order to increase the speed of the crop i.e. reduce the time the crop spends on the screens. Beware that increased capacity will reduce the precleansers efficiency whereas reduced capacity will result in cleaner crops. The maximum volume this pre-cleaner is capable of is 40 t/h (pre-cleaning barley). Capacities for malting barley is usually app. 5-7 t/h. If higher capacities are required an installation with 2 KDC 4000 can be offered.
