Thank you for choosing vacuum packaging machine DORS 411. Vacuum packaging machine DORS 411 (hereafter the packaging machine) was manufactured by LIDER LLC (a company of DORS Group). READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATION! GENERAL INFORMATION This manual contains the information required for proper operation and maintenance of vacuum packaging machine DORS 411. Before operation, install the machine as described in the manual and read carefully all the sections of this manual. IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS PURPOSE The machine is intended for vacuum packaging of complete or incomplete bundles of banknotes into the polyethylene bag. The vacuum packaging prevents a theft of notes from the bags in course of money collection and transportation. Once the teller sees that a bag has no vacuum, it's obvious that something went wrong and it's necessary to double check this bag's content. The advantages of machine are: User can choose proper vacuum level for any given number of notes in the bundle; User can change the heating level in order to provide good sealing of the bag regardless its thickness; User can operate with both popular types of the sealing stamp: silicon (by default) or fluoroplastic (option). To ensure safe, long-term and reliable operation of the machine we strongly suggest to observe the following advices and safety requirements: 1 This machine is intended for banknotes packaging only. 2 The user assumes full liability for any damages caused by improper use. 3 Use the special bags only. 4 Avoid an appearance of moisture and metal objects inside the machine's chamber. 5 Do not use the packaging machine with the damaged power cord. 6 Use only PE outlet to connect the machine. The outlet should be located close to user's workplace. 7 When you finish to use the machine, switch it off. If the machine is not used for a long period its power switch should be in «O» position. 8 Install the device on a level surface. 9 It is not recommended to use the device in extremely high or low temperature conditions, high humidity conditions or expose it to direct sunlight. 10 Do not touch any parts of the machine if it is not disconnected from the power supply. 11 When you are choosing the place of machine's installation, avoid the areas with high level of dust content. 12 Do not install the machine in places where it may be exposed to soot or vapor. It may cause a short circuit or inflammation. 4 5

APPEARANCE 2 3 INSTALLATION 1 The weight of the machine is around 40kgs; it means that at least two men should be involved in the course of installation; also keep the weight in mind when you choose the place of installation; 2 Unpack the machine; 3 Make sure that there are no transportation damages; 4 Put the packaging machine on a level horizontal surface; 5 Fill in the vacuum pump with the required amount of oil in accordance with the section «Filling and Changing Oil». After the vacuum pump is filled with oil, the packaging machine may be transported only in a horizontal position with maximum slope of 15. 1 6 5 1 Control panel; 2 Chamber cover 3 Cover lock; 4 Power cord; 4 Figure 1 Figure 2 9 8 7 VACUUM 411 TEMPERATURE 5 Screws; 6 Oil level indicator; 7 Heating element; 8 Sealing stamp; 9 Sealing stamp's holder; 10 Power switch; 11 Vacuum level knob; 12 Temperature level knob. 13 Pad Figure 3 Figure 4 13 11 12 10 Control panel ON OFF PREPARING THE MACHINE FOR OPERATION 1 Make sure that all precautions described above are observed; 2 Look at the oil level indicator (item 6 at Figure 1) to make yourself sure that the oil level is between MIN and MAX. If it is not enough, add oil as described in Section «Filling and Changing Oil»; 3 Connect the packaging machine to the power supply using the power cord. OPERATION PROCEDURE Switch on the machine by power switch 10 (Figure 4). If you want to seal a small bundle (less than 50 notes), we suggest to put the pad 13 (see Fig. 3) to the bottom of the chamber. The pad is served to make a sealed bag with small bundle tight enough (as tight as a full bundle). Before the continuous use, perform some adjustment in order to select the optimal operation mode of the packaging machine. The steps of the adjustment are: 1 Slide the lock 3 and open the cover 2 (see Figure 2); 2 Put a polyethylene bag containing the bundles of banknotes into the working chamber (see Figure 5) so that the open end of bag is 1cm overlapped the heating element 7 (see Figure 3); 3 Using knob 11 on the control panel (Figure 4) set the vacuum level as follows: the less banknotes are in the bundle the higher vacuum level should be, and vice versa; 6 7

4 Using knob 12 on the control panel (Figure 4) set the heating level as follows: the thicker the vacuum bag, the higher temperature should be, and vice versa; 5 Tightly close the working chamber cover; 6 When the cover is closed the packaging machine will start the packaging cycle. When the cycle is over, the working chamber cover will be opened automatically; 7 Evaluate the quality of sealing and the bundle density; 8 If it's necessary to achieve the desired performance, repeat the stages 3 to 7. Banknote bundle Bag to be sealed Heating element Figure 5 Placement of bundle into working chamber. The same with using a pad SEALING QUALITY: a If after sealing the external part of the bag can be easily pulled off the selected heating level is the optimum one; b If after sealing the external part of the bag is hardly or cannot be pulled off, it means you have to increase the heating level using knob 12 (Figure 4); c If after sealing the the external part of the bag drops off by itself, it means you have to decrease the heating level using knob 12 (Figure 4). REPLACING THE STAMP The device can be operated with a silicon sealing stamp as well as with a fluoroplastic one (the latter doesn't included in delivery set). Both kinds of stamp are provided a sharp print on the polyethylene bag. The heating element has a lifting mechanism that is lifted it automatically in the course of operation to provide a sharp label throughout the seal. It's possible to adjust a position of the stamp regarding the heating element by changing a position of a stamp holder. To do it, release the adjusting screws, move the holder to the proper position and fix the screws again (Figure 6). A text (normally it's included a name of bank, a teller's ID) is printed on the bag's sealing by means of the sealing stamp inserted in the holder. To change the stamp you have to remove it from the holder (Figure 7). Having inserted a new stamp, make sure the text orientation is correct. The stamp must be inserted until stop and should not be over the holder edges. Pad Evaluate package quality by the following criteria: VACUUM LEVEL a If the banknotes are stacked in the bag tight enough and the bundle density is sufficient the selected vacuum level is the optimum one; b If the banknotes are stacked in the bag rather loosely and the bundle density is not sufficient increase the vacuum level using the knob 11 (Figure 4); c If the banknotes in the bag are deformed (e.g. the angles are jammed), decrease the vacuum level using the knob 11 (Figure 4). 4 4 Adjusting screws Figure 6 Text on a stamp 200 Labeling area. Font height max. 4mm Figure 7 15 Example 8 9

Once the stamp has been changed you have to perform a test sealing to make sure that the text orientation on the seal is correct. If necessary, adjust a position of stamp holder in order to make a text printed in full. MAINTENANCE Attention! Disconnect the packaging machine from the power supply before starting maintenance The maintenance schedule mentioned in Table 1 (weekly, monthly, etc.) refers to normal operating conditions. In case of heavy-duty operation (over 1 shift per day) the maintenance should be provided more frequently. Table 1 Exterior of machine Cover seal Teflon tape of the heating element Heating element Power cord Vacuum pump Vacuum pump Stamp ITEM PROCEDURE Check visually Cleaning Monitoring (wear, damages) Monitoring (wear, damages) Check for damages Check for damages Check oil level Refill or change oil Replacement Complete diagnostics General diagnostics performed by qualified technician Daily turn off the packaging machine at the end of work.
