Correlating Committee on Automatic Sprinklers First Draft Correlating Committee Meeting December 6, 2016 MEETING MINUTES 1. Call to Order. CC Chair Ken Linder called the meeting to order at 8AM. 2. Self-Introductions of members and guests. a. Self-introductions of CC Members and guests were made. Attendance list is attached 3. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting. a. The minutes of the A15 Second Draft Meeting were reviewed and approved without modification. 4. Review of Meeting Procedures and Revision Process. a. Dave Hague gave a presentation on the overall meeting guidelines and the NFPA Regulations Governing CC operations 5. Committee Chair Reports. a. The Chairs of each of the Technical Committee presented an overview of First Draft committee actions for the CC to consider and act on. 6. Correlating Issues a. Correlating issues were acted on and Correlating Notes (CN) were developed. b. The CC voted to recommend to the Standards Council that NFPA 13D and 13R, following the A2019 revision cycle, move to a four year cycle on a one-time basis in order for the standards to be processed immediately following NFPA 13. This is intended to avoid multiple meetings in one revision cycle. 7. Dates for Second Draft Meetings a. Staff outlined the dates for the Second Draft Meetings as follows: i. June 19, 2017 PRI ii. June 20, 2017 HBS iii. June 21-23, 2017 RES iv. June 25-27, 2017 SSI v. June 27-29, 2017 SSD vi. November 8, 2017 AAC location TBD. 8. New Business
a. CC was presented with a template for Chair Reports (see attached). The template is not mandatory but is intended to assist in preparation of Chair Reports. 9. Adjournment a. The meeting was adjourned at 2:56pm on 12-6-16
