1. INTRODUCTI Ulracella is a family of producs consising of a conrol sysem for he basic funcions of a cold room o which can be added furher modules for accessory funcionaliies (e.g. elecronic valve, power relays, ec.). The user inerface ensures ease in use and i consiss, depending on he models, of: wide led display on which can be viewed he operaing emperaure and he acive loads; a graphic erminal wih ex srings in muliple languages, which guide he user during commissioning (wizard). I is also equipped wih conexual help menus accessible during programming, ha provide an accurae descripion of he alarms. The accessory modules allow: he insallaion of he elecronic expansion valve, using he module wih CAREL Evd Evoluion driver dedicaed o he conrol of superhea; compressor conrol wih power relay of up o 3 Hp; he use of a single-phase circui breaker swich in addiion o he power relay. The graphic erminal is also available as a service ool, which is useful when he conrol has he only LED inerface. UlraCella has a por for he inserion of a USB memory key o: load he languages for he graphic erminal during he firs commissioning; parameers upload/download; oher operaions reserved for he service cenre (e.g. sofware updae); download log of emperaure recorded. 2.7 Insallaion Proceed as follows for insallaion, making reference o he wiring diagrams in he previous paragraphs: 1. Connec he supply and probes: he probes can be remoe-conrolled up o a maximum disance of 10 meres from he conroller as long as cables wih minimum secion of 1 mm 2 are used. 2. Program he conrol: as indicaed in chaper Commissioning and User inerface ; 3. Connec he acuaors: he acuaors should only be conneced afer having programmed he conroller. I is recommended o carefully evaluae he maximum capaciies of he relays indicaed in able Technical specificaions. 4. Connecion o he serial nework (if presen): all conrols are fied wih a serial connecor for connecion o he supervisory nework. Warnings: avoid insalling UlraCella conrol sysem in environmens wih he following characerisics: relaive humidiy over 90% non-condensing; srong vibraions or knocks; exposure o coninuous jes of waer; exposure o aggressive and polluing amospheric agens (e.g.: sulphur and ammonia gases, saline mis, smoke) o avoid corrosion and/or oxidaion; high magneic and/or radio frequency inerference (e.g. near ransmiing anennas); exposure of he conrol sysem o direc sunligh and amospheric agens in general. The following recommendaions mus be respeced when connecing he conrollers: warnings: incorrec connecion of he power supply may seriously damage he conrol sysem; use cable ends ha are suiable for he erminals. Loosen every screw and fi he cable end, nex ighen he screws and genly pull he cables o check heir ighness. If using an auomaic screwdriver, adjus he orque o a value less han 0.5 N m; separae as much as possible (by a leas 3 cm) he probe signal and digial inpu cables from inducive loads and power cables, o avoid any elecromagneic disurbance. Never lay power cables and probe cables in he same cable conduis (including hose for he elecrical panels). Do no insall he probe cables in he immediae viciniy of power devices (conacors, circui breakers or oher). Reduce he lengh of he sensor cables as much as possible, and avoid spirals around power devices; only use IP67 guaraneed probes as end defros probes; place he probes wih he verical bulb upwards, so as o faciliae drainage of any condensae. Remember ha he hermisor emperaure probes (NTC) have no polariy, so he order of connecion of erminals is no imporan. Cauion: in order o ensure he safey of he uni in he even of serious alarms, all he elecromechanical safey devices required o guaranee correc operaion mus be fied on he uni. HACCP - CAUTI When he emperaure measuremen is relevan for Food Safey (see HACCP), will be used only emperaure probes suggesed by Carel. The sandards in force may require he compilaion and preservaion of appropriae documenaion, as well as periodic checks on insrumenaion and sensors. If in doub, consul he person in charge of food safey or he manager of he plan. 2.8 Connecion in supervisoring nework Warnings: properly fix he converer o avoid disconnecions; perform he wiring wihou power supply; keep he cables of he converer CVSTDUMOR0 separae from power cables (supply and relay oupus). The RS485 converer allows you o connec o he UlraCella conrol nework o he monioring nework for complee conrol and monioring of conrols conneced. The sysem provides a maximum of 207 unis wih a maximum lengh of 1000 m. For he connecion i is requesed he accessory sandard (RS485-USB converer cod. CAREL CVSTDUMOR0) and a erminaing resisor of 120 Ω o be placed on he erminals conneced o he las conrol. Connec RS485 converer o he conrols as shown in he figure. 3.2 Programming The parameers can be modified using he keyboard. Access o he configuraion parameers is proeced by a password ha prevens unwaned modificaions or access by unauhorised persons. 4. COMMISSIING 4.1 Firs commissioning Afer wiring he elecrical connecions and he power supply (see insallaion chaper), he operaions required for commissioning he UlraCella conrol sysem depend on he ype of inerface used. Refer o some parameers such as: 1. Se-poin and differenial; 2. Probes and digial inpus configuraion; 3. Selecion of he ype of defros and fans operaion; 4. Cold room ligh managemen. Types of inerfaces: board wih LED display: parameers configuraion is performed using he display and he keyboard based on he procedure described in chap.3 parameers change. Alernaively, you can connec he remoe graphic erminal UlraCella Sevice Terminal and ener he wizard menu for firs commissioning (wizard); USB memory key: pu he conrol on and load he programming parameers from USB memory key (upd command, UPLOAD, see Chaper 3); supervisor: in order o faciliae he launch of a large number of conrols UlraCella using only he supervisor you can limi he operaion of he firs commissioning o he serial address seing.
