WHO WE ARE The Leon Hasson & Frere Group has been operating in DRC since 1936 and is unique in terms of its experience and dynamism. The Leon Hasson & Frere Group had diverse business interests during all these years of its existence in DRC. They are: Real Estate Trading Industry Agriculture At present, we are the biggest retail chain operating in DRC mainly focused on the import and distribution of a remarkably wide range of articles.

WHO WE ARE We distribute throughout the Republic via a network of loyal customers installed in the inland part of the country and also through the shops located in Kinshasa. We have two hypermarkets in Kinshasa, the biggest in central Africa named Espace Hasson and Plaza Village and also two supermarkets named Kitambo Commercial Centre and Hasson House located in the prominent locations of Kinshasa. We have a huge warehousing capacity with five warehouses which supply the goods to all our shops and the distribution clients. We have a big fleet of several trucks and delivery vans to service our distribution clients and retail shops. We operate on a well advanced IT system, an ERP system based on Oracle 11g database. With the support of this ERP system, we are efficiently managing the transactions of more than 25000 SKU s on a daily basis.

WHO WE ARE We have a distribution team which takes care of the sales and promotional activities of all our exclusive brands. The distribution team directly service to around 700 point of sales. Our liaison office in Belgium takes care of all our purchases and other administrative procedures. We employ 540 Congolese nationals and 21 expatriates of 9 different nationalities conversing more than 14 languages. RETAIL OUTLETS

OUR POTENTIAL We have a retail chain with 4 outlets in Kinshasa, all ideally located in the prime areas. Among these, the two Hypermarkets, Plaza Village and Espace Hasson are the biggest in Central Africa. It has an area of 23000 m² and 6500 m² respectively. These hypermarkets have many shops, services and other amusement facilities. These shopping centers have been revamped this year with a new extension of the commercial area adding several new shops, restaurants, banks and telecom centres. The other two are supermarkets Kintambo Commercial Centre and Hasson House with area of 2500 m² and 1200 m², all situated in the busiest locations in Kinshasa city. All our retail outlets and warehouses are the properties owned by our group company. Our retail stores cater both the upper market and mass market clients.

OUR POTENTIAL Our Hypermarkets and Supermarkets ensures the best visibility for all our exclusive brands and also serves as a platform to many local producers to launch and promote their products. These hypermarkets are even chosen by the Government officials to showcase the development of the country to various delegates and diplomats. Both these shopping centers have secured parking area for the customers. Our shops are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. Managed by professionals specialized in retail trade and expertise in the local conditions and environment. We also offer fidelity cards with many advantages on purchases, to all our loyal customers.

REAL ESTATE Our Commercial activities has always joined hands with the Real Estate company of the Group. The real estate companies owned by the Group are Build Up, Linda and GDC. These companies are managed by Hasson et Frere with their expertise and experience in DRC. The success of our business also relate to the investments made in the real estate sector, especially the properties of our hypermarkets Espace Hasson and Plaza Village. These investments paved the path for the progress and development of our activities and also provide a solid base for a promising future. Tremendous efforts and dedication of manpower has been put in to realize these projects to a world class standard, with the completion of the new extension in 2013.

OUR POTENTIAL Brand Portfolio : We are the distributor of many multinational brands in DRC like Beiersdorf (Nivea), Henkel, Unilever, Unhycos (OE), Yplon, Kimberly Clark, Tramontina, Luminarc, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Bacardi, Radicokhaitan, Skol, Ferrero, Heinz, Inza & Incolac, LU Biscuits & Evian, Volvic, Perrier, Puma, Swatch etc. Trade Marketing Skills : For the above MNC's we organize different kinds of schemes, promotional activities and incentives for the wholesalers and retailers. Focus on-trade and off-trade: Dedicated manpower to service off-trade (Supermarkets, Shops, Petrol Stations, Communes) and on-trade (Restaurants, Bars, Night Clubs) clients. Execution Activations : In brand building efforts we are making use of Flange, Road standee, Glow sign boards, Flex Boards, Display stands, and other POS materials provided by MNC's. Promotions : We do in store promotions as well as outdoor ones to build and position the brand. Distribution centers : These centers serve the wholesale clients on a Cash & Carry basis and helps to avoid the logistic delays due to the traffic jams.
