Toaster EN IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons if they are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use of the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and under supervision. Keep this appliance and the power cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age. Children must not play with the appliance. EN-3

EN Toaster IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ CAREFULLY AND STORE IT FOR FUTURE USE. Before connecting the appliance to a power socket check that the technical details on the appliance label match the electrical voltage in the socket to which you wish to connect the appliance. Connect the appliance only to a grounded socket. ATTENTION: This appliance is not designed to be controlled using a programmed device, external timer switch or remote control. This appliance is designed for household use. Do not use the appliance for any other purposes than those intended. Do not use the appliance in industrial surroundings or outdoors! Do not place the appliance on or near an electrical or gas stove. Do not place the appliance in the vicinity of an open flame or appliances that are sources of heat. Do not place the appliance on unstable surfaces. Always place the appliance on an even, dry surface. To prevent potential injury by electric shock, do not submerge any part of this appliance under water or any other liquid. During operation of the appliance there needs to be sufficient area for air circulation above the appliance and on all its sides. Warning! The bread may catch on fire, so do not use the appliance in the vicinity of a flammable materials such as curtains, wipes, wooden surfaces, etc. Do not heat bread products directly on the toasting slots and do not place any other objects on them. Covering the toasting slots will block the circulation of air and may cause a fire. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be higher if the appliance is in operation. Ensure that you do not touch a hot surface near the toasting slots. Do not use the appliance without a crumb tray. The tray must be regularly cleaned so that crumbs do not accumulate. Always turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the power socket if you leave it without supervision or if you will not be using it and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to fully cool down before moving, cleaning or storing it. Store the appliance out of children's reach. If children got hold of the appliance without adult supervision, a child could be injured or the appliance could be damaged. Do not disconnect the appliance from the power point by pulling the electric cord - it may damage the power cord/power socket. Disconnect the cord from the power socket by gently pulling the plug of the power cord. Make sure the power cord does not hang over the edge of a table, or that it is not touching a hot surface. It is forbidden to use the appliance if it has a damaged power cord/plug. In case the power cord is damaged, have it replaced at a expert service centre. Do not use the appliance if it is not working correctly, if it was dropped on the floor, if it is damaged or has been submerged in water. In no case should you attempt to repair the unit yourself, do not make any alterations to it - danger of injury by electric shock! Have all repairs or adjustments of the appliance done at an authorised service centre. Tampering with the appliance during the warranty period may void the warranty policy. This toaster is designed to toast bread products such as for example bread or toast bread, bread rolls, buns, bagels, etc. Other ingredients could cause a fire or injury, so do not use the toaster to toast foods containing sugar, marmalade, or canned fruit, for example cakes, pies, etc. Before first use the toaster must be started empty at least three times for the maximum toasting time to remove any potential odours. Warning! Never attempt to take out a jammed piece of bread or any other bread product using a knife or another metal object. This could lead to injury by electrical shock or damage the appliance. If the bread product becomes jammed in the toaster opening, turn off the toaster and disconnect the power cord from the socket. Allow the toaster to cool down and then carefully remove the jammed bread product. EN-4

Insert a slice of toast bread, slice of bread or half a roll, etc. into the toasting slot. When selecting bread products for toasting check that its size is appropriate for toasting in your toaster. The bread product must not project out of the toaster. Bread slices must not be too thick so as not to become jammed in the toasting slots. NOTE: Before first use the toaster must be started empty at least three times for the maximum toasting time to remove any potential odours. 3) Set the toasting level in the range 1 to 6 (1 - lowest toasting level, 6 - highest toasting level). For first use we recommend that you set the middle toasting intensity. To toast another bread product you can choose a different level depending on the type of bread and your taste. 4) Put the appliance into operation by pushing down the control lever. Note: If the power cord is not connected to a socket the lever will not become secured in the lower position and the appliance cannot be put into operation. 5) The toaster will turn itself off as soon as the set toast level is achieved and will automatically eject the inserted bread product. The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the STOP button. Take out the toasts from the toasting slots and if necessary toast another bread product. Note: Control lever with the "High Lift" function makes it easier to take out smaller bread products. Lift the lever about 2 cm above the initial position and take out the bread product. 6) Disconnect the toaster from the socket after use and allow it to cool down before further handling. EN-5

EN Toaster Defrosting frozen bread products function Insert frozen bread products into the toasting slots and set the desired toasting level. Push the control lever down until it becomes secured in the lower position. Press the DEFROST button to toast frozen bread products. The DEFROST button will be on. The toaster will automatically eject the inserted bread products at the end of the toasting process of the frozen bread products. Note: The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the STOP button. Toast reheat function This function makes it possible to reheat the toast without further toasting. Insert toasts into the toasting slots and push the control lever down until it is secured in the lower position. Press the REHEAT button to reheat the toast. The REHEAT button will be on. The toaster will automatically eject the inserted bread products at the end of the toast reheating process. Note: The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the STOP button. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Before cleaning always disconnect the appliance from the power socket and allow it to cool down. To remove crumbs from the tray, hold the toaster above a rubbish bin. Open the tray and remove the crumbs. Then close the tray again. Clean the crumb tray regularly. Ensure that crumbs do not accumulate as this could lead to a fire. To remove crumbs from inside the toaster turn the toaster upside down and shake out the crumbs above a rubbish bin. Wipe the outside parts of the toaster with a dry or lightly damp cloth and then wipe dry. Ensure that water or dampness do not get inside the toaster. Do not use cleaning products causing abrasion, petrol or solvents to clean the toaster. To prevent potential injury by electric shock, do not submerge any part of the appliance under water or any other liquid. Toaster EN INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF USED PACKAGING MATERIALS Dispose of packaging material at a public waste disposal site. DISPOSAL OF USED ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES The meaning of the symbol on the product, its accessory or packaging indicates that this product shall not be treated as household waste. Please, dispose of this product at your applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical & electronic equipment waste. Alternatively in some states of the European Union or other European states you may return your products to your local retailer when buying an equivalent new product. The correct disposal of this product will help save valuable natural resources and help in preventing the potential negative impact on the environment and human health, which could be caused as a result of improper liquidation of waste. Please ask your local authorities or the nearest waste collection centre for further details. The improper disposal of this type of waste may fall subject to national regulations for fines.
