Any indicaion and operaion indicaed in he presen manual shall be carried ou only by auhorized and qualified personnel in charge. The manufacurer declares ha: - The CF4Q has been designed, realized and esed in compliance wih he European Rule EN298 relaive o Conrol and safey auomaic sysems for gas burners and gas appliances wih or wihou fan. - The CF4Q is conform o he essenial requiremens provided for by Direcive 90/396/EEC for gas applicaions (E.D. 90/396/EEC ar. 1 paragraph 2). APPLICATIONS. The CF4Q flame conrol appliance direcly lighs and conrols inermien gas burners, or raher burners ha shall be urned off a leas once in he 24 hours. The burner is checked by an ionizaion elecrode. For grounded grids. Wih a single resar due o flame pu ou. The CF4Q can be applied direcly o he burner in indusrial hermal processes for meals, glass, ceramic, plasic, chemical, ec..., where here is no need of a prevenilaion before urning i on. Besides i can be applied on amospheric burners for general heaing. ATTENTION Avoid presence of condensaion inside he box and on he card surface. The CF4Q flame conrol device can be supplied wih he addiional display card STK035 (opional exra), which enables an effecive and immediae check of he appliance s funcionaliy. This is possible hanks o he four LEDs of he flame level display, he LED of he safey sysems conrol and he LED of he release conrol by remoe swich, which is on when he main swich is on 0 posiion in order o signal he volage presence. (N.B: i can only be used by auhorized personnel, keeping he burner o be lighed under sric conrol). ASSEMBLY. - Assembly posiion a will. - The box can be assembled buil-in from a panel wih a hole and final overall dimensions here-below indiacaed. CABLES RECOMMENDED. - IONIZATION: max. lengh 10 m. wih secion 1 mm. Place far from inerference sources, avoid exernal elecric influences. - IGNITION: cable no screened. Max. lengh 5 m. Suggesed conducor diameer 1 mm. Place singularly far from meal pars. WIRING. Disconnec he plan. In hree-phase plans use he same phase on he inpus. No power shall be presen on he solenoid valve oule. The CF4Q enabling conrol deriving from he safey sequence ( main conrols device for safey such as hermosas, GAS min., Gas max., seal conrol, prewashing, ec...) shall be conacs wihou ension. BURNER FLAME CONTROL SERIES C F 4 Q page 3 of 5 The max. curren of solenoid valve and igniion ransformer is 1A. Alarm conac max 1A 230 Vac no proeced by inner fuse. For a correc operaing, carry ou a good connecion of he CF4Q earh o he burner ground. IGNITION. 1. Open he gas valve 2. Turn on he plan. 3. Supply power o he CF4Q. 4. Press he IGNITION push-buon (power green LED on) 5. Supply power o he enabling erminal in order o sar he cycle 6. Waiing ime before saring abou 5 secs. 7. Afer his ime he CF4Q will carry ou he igniion cycle. The gas solenoid valve will be driven and a he same ime he discharge is carried ou (yellow discharge LED on). A he end of he discharge he presence of he flame will be conrolled. OPERATION CHECK. 1. During he operaing remove he deecion pipe 2. The CF4Q will ry o resar only one ime, hen i will block because of an anomaly (he solenoid valve power will be cu off, he alarm conac will close and he red LED will ligh). 3. The burner flame shall die down. 4. In case of differen operaion, check he wirings and if he problem is no solved disassemble CF4Q and send i o he manufacurer for a complee overhauling. Afer he replacemen of he safey device, check is operaion: - Turn off he main gas valve and check ha he appliance does no sar. If he safey device works correcly and he wiring is in good order bu he appliance sars he burner, send i o he manufacurer for an inspecion. 8. In case of flame he appliance goes o he operaive mode, urning on he green deecion LED and supplying power o he solenoid valve. 9. Differenly he CF4Q blocks (he gas solenoid valve power will be cu off, he alarm conac will shu and he block red LED will ligh). I will be necessary o urn off he appliance by means of he ON buon in order o rese and resar i. N.B. The erminal shall never be used. The eliminaion of breakdowns can be carried ou by auhorized personnel only. In case of improper repairs or incorrec elecrical connecions, he good running of he appliance is no graned. The release a disance can be carried ou only by auhorized personnel keeping under sric conrol he burner o be lighed? < TROUBLE>! <CAUSE > * <REMEDY>? THE IGNITION SPARK DOES NOT APPEAR.! The disance beween he elecrode and he burner body is oo grea. * Se a disance of max. 2 mm.! The ignier cable does no make conac wih he pipe. * Re-screw he pipe ighly.! The ignier cable has a leakage on he earh. * Check he laying of he cable, clean he igniion elecrode.! The igniion volage is oo low. * use an igniion ransformer wih power > 5 KV! The igniion cable is oo long. * Shoren is lengh o 1 m. (max. 5 m.)! The ignier cable does no make conac. * Screw i ighly on he igniion ransformer.? THE GAS DOES NOT REACH IT! The gas solenoid valve does no open * Check he solenoid valve connecion.! There is sill presence of air in he gas hosepipe. * Make many igniion aemps in order o fill compleely he gas hosepipe.? THE GAS DOES NOT REACH IT AND THE IGNITION SPARK DOES NOT APPEAR, THE CF4Q DOES NOT START.! Shor circui in he igniion or in he solenoid valve oule. * Check he wiring - in case of shor circui in oules eliminae i and change he inner fuse (2,5 A). Or send he appliance o he manufacurer.? THERE IS THE FLAME BUT THE DETECTION LED IS OFF.! The deecion elecrode is in shor circui because of dir, soo or damp.! The deecion elecrode is no in a correc posiion as o he flame.! The combusion air/gas raio is incorrec.! The flame makes no conac wih he burner body because air and/or gas pressure is oo high.! The burner or CF4Q are no earhed correcly.! Shor circui or deecion cable inerrupion.! Phase and neural wire invered. * Eliminae he defec.? THE APPLIANCE DOES NOT PERFORM THE IGNITION CYCLE AND GOES IMMEDIATELY IN DETECTION.! Anomaly on he deecion (flame simulaion) * Eliminae he cause of he flame anomaly.! Anomaly of he flame deecion circui. * Send he appliance o he manufacurer for is replacemen.? THE APPLIANCE DOES NOT START EVEN IF ALL THE TROUBLES HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED AND THE MAIN SWITCH HAS BEEN PRESSED. * Send he appliance o he manufacurer for he funcional inspecion.
