3. Product Registration When registering your momit Smart Thermostat, check whether your device has the Smart Registration option or not. You ll know because your Smart will let you know with this icon appearing on the screen throughout registration. If it does, follow the steps shown in the thermostat display and then enter the registration code that has been provided to you. Once you finish this step, give the device a name and an address. If you do not have Smart registration, you must only follow the steps on your device s screen. Once you re done, your thermostat will be completely ready for use. You will be able to assign an address and change its name in the Device Settings tab side menu. 1. momit Smart Thermostat App 1. Start Once you ve finished registering your device, you can start enjoying the momit Smart Thermostat App. On the start screen you will find all the devices that you have registered on your account. Each device displays the ambient temperature, the operating mode activated and relay is on (orange if it is on boiler mode or blue if it is on air conditioning mode) or off (black or grey). If you only have one registered device, this screen will not be displayed, skipping directly to the device data sheet. offl ine 5
2. Device data sheet You can access the data sheet for each device by clicking on each of them on the home screen. It displays the room temperature, the operating mode in which the device is in and indicates if the relay is on or off through the color that is displayed, orange meaning it is on and black or gray if it s off. You will also find different actions related to the operating mode which is in use. Modes: Off, Calendar, Manual and Offline. It indicates the current status of the thermostat, in which each of these Modes of use can operate with the activated configuration options. Off: If the device is off, you can enable it again in schedule or manual mode. Operating mode Enable in schedule mode Enable in manual mode 6
Schedules: You may modify the set temperature manually. The end time of the current interval or the start time of the next interval are indicated. By clicking the thermostat icon on the side menu, you ll be able to access the Device Control menu, through which you can turn the device off or switch to manual. The day schedule will also be displayed. The time at which the temperature ceases to apply is indicated. By clicking the thermostat icon on the side menu you ll be able to access the Device Control menu, through which you can turn the device off or go to Schedule and choose a time until which you want the change to be applied. Salón 100% Offline Offline: Indicates how long the device has been offline and the reason why. In this case some options are not displayed on the side menu because such changes would have no effect offline. These options let you set your thermostat according to your needs and habits. Geolocation 22.5º Geolocation: Indicates the position of each person when they are not at home. You can manage this option in the Device Settings menu, you can find it on the side menu to turn it off, switch to Manual or Schedule and choose a geolocation kilometer radius. Presence: Indicates time passed since a presence was detected in the home. You can manage this option in the Device Settings menu, you will find on the side menu to turn it off, switch to Manual or Schedule and choose the Presence activation period. No presence has been detected in your house for Holiday: This option allows you to specify the days when you will be on holiday and can be activated from the Schedule page on the side menu. Here you will be able to specify the days you ll be away as well as the date and time you ll be back. Ambient: Due to changes in light intensity, Ambient mode will turn off the air conditioning system. This way your momit Smart Thermostat can turn off the air conditioning at night when no light is detected in your home. 3. Side menu This menu shows the temperature and humidity of the device that is selected. 3.1 Heating or air conditioning In this option you can choose whether your momit Smart Thermostat controls air conditioning or heating. 3.2 Device settings 100% Salón 22.5º Vacaciones Device name: You can change the name assigned to the device. Estás de vacaciones hasta el día Address: You must enter the address where the device is located. You need to do this in order to use Geolocation and have more accurate weather forecasts. Temperature unit: You can choose between Celsius or Fahrenheit. 1 sep 9.45 h Desactivar Vacaciones Smart: The thermostat automatically learns Control del dispositivo use routines configuring itself based on that data. It will act after making 3 manual changes to a section of an active schedule. For example, if on 3 consecutive Mondays you set the temperature at 21.5 C at 19:00h, when at this time the thermostat had a set schedule interval, the thermostat will be affected by the new setup and the thermostat will configure itself every Monday at the same time. You can enable or disable it in this section. Geolocation: This mode causes the relay to turn on or off depending on the user s current distance from home. How does it work? It shows the kilometer radius you have set and when your mobile device exits this set radius, momit Smart Thermostat stops taking the setup into account and will turn the relay off, allowing you to save whenever you re away from home. When one of the household s users enters the set radius, momit Smart Thermostat will resume normal operation. Geolocation will only be activated if no presence is detected in your home. Presence: It makes momit Smart Thermostat operate according to what has been programmed on the schedule whenever it detects presence in your home. If no device detects presence in the set time period, the relay will turn off until it detects it again. This period can be set when activating this mode. Ambient: Desactivates the air conditioning system if the thermostat detects a brightness level below 30% of a range of generic brightness. All measurements and activation thus be made only between 1:00 am and 6:00 am. In addition, if during this time period the thermostat detects a timely increase in luminosity or presence continuously, it will not return to the previous mode until the brightening or presence detection time exceeds 5 minutes. 11
Force temperature compensation: You can adjust the temperature of your thermostat. Take an example, imagine that momit Smart Thermostat marks 23 C, in case you think it is not 23 C but 24 C, you can force the device to mark one degree more at all times. Hysteresis threshold setting: When a setpoint temperature of 21 C is established, for example, air conditioning systems usually do not start working until the temperature drops to 20,2ºC or rises to 21,8ºC. This difference is a 0.8 C hysteresis, and it s used to reduce energy to avoid air conditioning systems constantly working. The hysteresis may be set between 0.3 C and 1.9ºC. Shared thermostat: Enables or disables the option for users who have previously been invited to use the thermostat. Standby: Turns the display off if the thermostat does not detect presence during a 60 second time interval. Standby mode does not disable any action on the operation or functionality of the thermostat, since it only turns off the screen to save energy. 12
3.3 Schedule 3.3.1 List of schedules This screen displays all the schedules created. From here you can create a new screen or configure the Holidays mode so that you can activate it. Name the schedule, select the temperature you want and start time and end time. Provide a name for your schedule Name of schedule Set the temperature Choose the days and times on which you wish to use this interval 13
3.3.3 Calendar Sheet: 3.3.4 Edit interval The different programs per day will be displayed on this screen. Here you can create a new section or delete the schedule. You can create up to 6 sections. To edit an existing interval you have to tap it in the device s menu. You can then change the configuration of this interval. Daily programme Schedule intervals Copy configuration Create a new interval Delete schedule 3.3.5 Holiday When the holiday period is activated the relay is disabled until you return, without taking the programmes into account. To activate it you must tap the Holiday button in the schedule list screen. Once in this section you must set the departure and return dates. Tapping On activates the holiday period. Once these steps have been performed tap Save. 14
3.4 Device Status: This screen shows an overview of the data collected by the device that will give the user insight on its operation. From here you can access the statistics listed below. 3.6 Activity The relevant actions that have been made in the various devices are shown on this screen. You can view activity today, yesterday or the entire week. 3.7 The weather This screen displays the temperature in your city. It also forecasts the weather throughout the week so that you can adjust your schedule programme with respect to the weather outdoors. 16
3.8 Invite Thanks to this option you can invite other people to use and control your momit Home Thermostat. Here you will be able to see the status of each of the invitation you send from your account to other users to share your thermostats, and invite new users to share any of your devices. daniela.men@gmail.com ani2me@yahoo.com 3.9 Add new device On this screen you will be able to add new devices to your account. To do this you must indicate whether your device has the Smart registration option or not. You ll know because your Smart will let you know with this icon appearing on the screen throughout registration. If it does, follow the steps on the thermostat display and enter the registration code that has been provided to you. You must assign a name and address to your momit Smart Thermostat. If not, you will only need to follow those indicated on your thermostat s screen and once you re done it will be ready for use.
