Finger-Jointing Line, Type FLP Compact finger-jointing line Finger-Jointing Line, Type TKZ Cycle center For more than thirty years, the automated compact finger-jointing line, type FLP, has been a worldwide approved machine by SMB. Different sizes are available, ranging from 8 to 50 tons press capacity. Depending on the size, the machine FLP is used for the production of window scantlings and laminated wood or for the production of construction wood. The machine can be equipped both with contactfree glue application and with a glue comb system. The finger-jointing cycle center, type TKZ, is equipped with two milling cutters, contact-free glue application as well as with a high-capacity cycle press. A speed in-feed system with servo-motors and optimized sequence control considerably increase the output. Press capacities from 12 to 50 tons are feasible. Finger-Jointing Line, Type FLP-2 Compact finger-jointing line The type FLP-2 allows the vertical and horizontal finger-jointing process on the same line allowing the efficient production of lamellas for glued timber, solid construction wood and also of log house planks. The machine is equipped with two cutter heads and two press slides. Here again, different sizes are available, ranging from 20 to 50 tons press capacity. The machine can be equipped with glue application systems for all types of glue. Finger-Jointing Line, Type MKZ Cycle center This finger-jointing line cycle center, type MKZ, is also equipped with two milling cutters. This type of machine is used for the processing of timber with large differences in size. Various sizes are available with a press capacity between 12 and 50 tons. Finger-Jointing Line, Type GFP Milling gluing press combination Compared to the compact line, the plant configuration of the type GFP either equipped with contact-free glue application or with glue comb system enables a considerable increase in output. Finger-Jointing Line, Type HKA Press Systems High-capacity compact finger-jointing line Rotary press The plant type HKA stands for a high-capacity compact finger-jointing line (milling, gluing, press process in one clamping setup) equipped with contactfree glue application or glue comb system. Press advance and transport of the freshly pressed timber is carried out in direction of manufacture. The lateral in-feed of this finger-jointing line and the retractable milling cutter ensure a significant increase in output. Special features of the type HKA are the automatic adjustment of the press pressure and the drive technology with servo motors. Fully automated, hydraulic rotary press with outstanding functionality and high system availability as well as a high degree of flexibility for the production of laminated beams as well as for duo and trio beams. Starting with the self-supporting rotation principle, the latest drive and valve technology for hydraulics to the innovative and sophisticated measuring and control technology, this plant concept enables space-saving and functional production capabilities up to the job lot 1. Finger-Jointing Line, Type VPK + SPK + HPK Packet finger-jointing-line Press Systems Column-type press The packet finger-jointing lines are of modular design. Different versions are available: from the semi-automatic design type HKP equipped with one milling cutter and manual feeding to the press to the fully automated plant with 2 milling cutters type VPK or with central milling cutter type SPK. The custo- mer can opt for a 1-channel or 2-channel front side press but also for a multiple cycle press. Various press capacities can be realized. You can choose between manual or fully-automated feeding. Vertical, hinged column-type press for standard and ordered products of different sizes. The press pressure is transferred to the timber via pressure shoes by means of hydraulic cylinders. The press can be designed with manual or automated feeding as well as with a parted design of the press system. The press is suited for laminated beams, duo and trio beams, ceiling panels and log house elements. Any desired length of the press system can be installed. Cross Cut Saws, Type KK-700/KK-900 De-stacking plants Cross cut saws with defect detection are required in complete plants. Depending on the cross section of the timber, it can be chosen between two types. Type KK-700 is suited for timber with cross sections up to 300x160 mm and type KK-900 allows cutting of timber with cross sections up to 320x250 mm. Our automatic feeding systems provide for an efficient operating procedure of the plant. The so-called pack de-stacking by tilting table or vacuum transfer device ensures feeding of the work pieces, either individual or in packs, to the operator or to the plant. The optimized process is supported by an automatic stick stacker system. Stacking plants Storage systems The product portfolio of SMB Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. Drying Technology Our different dryer types like chamber dryer or continuous dryer ensure the optimal, gentle and energy-saving drying of your products. Various specially designed continuous dryers have been developed in our company and are customized solutions to meet the demands of our customers. In order to substantially improve the quality and homogeneity of the drying results, the air guiding in our dryers has been designed in a way to obtain a selective control over several drying zones by means of a cascaded air supply via recirculation systems. This equipment together with the in-house developed measuring and control technology especially adapted to our dryers enable the safe control of the drying process as well as an automated adaption of the dryer to operational events.
