Melbourne Architecture Annual 2012 Event Proposal Form This form is to be completed by all individuals and organisations proposing events as part of Melbourne Architecture Annual (MA A) 2012. It is understood that not all details of an event will be known at this stage of the planning process. 2012 Theme Community and Architecture This year s theme has been chosen because as part of MA A, Federation Square will have its 10 th birthday. As a meeting place for Melbourne this is an opportunity to think about how people come together around architecture. How do we interact, connect and benefit from the creation of spaces. How do we create community with our neighbours, our work colleagues and the idea of city? The theme Community and Architecture is open to interpretation and we encourage event contributors to explore the theme with openness. MA A aims to engage with the public on architectural issues and event proposals should support this. The purpose is to talk about architecture rather than architects, and to involve as many people in the conversation as possible. You can become involved by proposing an event, activity, installation, walk or an exhibition which explores the many aspects of what makes community.
