FRIGOVENT air curtains for cold rooms and freezer rooms The problem Opening doors of cold rooms and freezer rooms causes high energy costs because of the air interchange. At the ground level cold and heavy air flows outdoors, while the warm external air flows inside (fig.1). The warm air has to be cooled. This burns up additional energy for cooling. The effects of the needless air interchange. The high amount of moisture of the incoming warm air causes icing damages. Icing at the ceiling, at the goods and at the floor (danger of black ice). Frosted evaporators have to be defrosted with lots of energy input. Your goods are endangered during the transport through frozen strip curtains and swingdoors. The FRIGOVENT air curtain is the perfect solution. The installation is above the door (fig. 3). Opening the door will automatically start the frigovent. The specially air flow covers the whole door opening. Cold and warm air are effectively separated by an invisible air barrier (fig.2). Warm air cannot flow in, cold air cannot escape.
