HOSPITALITY FALL & WINTER 2017-18 Creating bespoke environments for boutique hotels and high-end hospitality.
A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER I grew up roaming the halls of my grandfather s vast, historic hotel in Belleair, on Florida s Gulf Coast. The rich wood moldings, classic wallpaper and soaring ceilings of the hotel were grand and elegant, yet warm and inviting. In the late eighties, new owners decided a copper pagoda and mauve velvet circular seating arrangement would better suit the hotel s Victorian entrance. The library was turned into a Chinese restaurant and its bay windows overlooking the ocean and mossy live oaks were covered over. This was an early lesson in how integral décor is in respecting and celebrating the history and context of place. It s a lesson I have carried with me in my travels, that informs my work today. When I was new to the textile business, I was often told to focus on one product, to do one thing and do it well. I never much liked that advice. As a designer and a creator, there were too many exciting materials to work with, too many problems to solve, and too many talented people around to create with. We learned that with the right process in place and the right economy of production, we could efficiently offer a range of affordable custom and coordinating goods. Our product is no longer just a product, but a service as well. While Cricket Radio s offerings are heavily inspired by the local beauty and the people of Vermont, I draw heavily from my international background and love of vernacular design. My mind is often in the tropics, with its lush flora and fauna and watery palettes, but with my body in colder climes, I can happily turn my design focus toward the cozy mountain lodge. Wherever your project may be, we would love to be a part of it. Sincerely, Elizabeth 2 3

ABOUT Cricket Radio partners with design firms to create bespoke environments for boutique hotel and high-end hospitality projects. We know it can be a struggle for firms to keep up with all of the new designers and products out there in order to deliver on their client s vision. With our in-house design and manufacturing and diverse network of Vermont artisans, Cricket Radio can quickly and easily design, source and manufacture truly one-of-a-kind items within your timeline and budget. OUR STORY Elizabeth Archangeli founded Cricket Radio after falling in love with the artistry of silk screening. Her first collection of table linens and home accessories was inspired by her travels to Asia, and printed on European linen. This work was featured in refined home retailers, including ABC Home and Simon Pearce. Shortly after, Elizabeth was named one of Food & Wine Magazine s Ten New American Artisans We Love. In 2015, Cricket Radio transitioned its retail business to focus on boutique hotels and high-end hospitality. We collaborate with our clients to design and manufacture custom wall art and wall coverings, decorative textile accents, headboards and case goods, with an emphasis on customization, craftsmanship, and sustainability. Our products can be purchased as custom coordinated packages, from design to production, simplifying the overall process and reducing the number of vendors. Unlike larger suppliers, Cricket Radio has small minimum requirements, a short turnaround time and a range of accessories that will complement your custom project. This helps save money, while delivering a truly unique, high quality finished product. Cricket Radio is committed to ethical and environmental standards, and embraces the latest technology to help honor this commitment. We employee a digital printing technique to eliminate wasted ink from screen printing, lessen water usage, and to overall be more efficient. 8 9
WALL ART & COVERINGS Cricket Radio creates one-of-a-kind wall art, murals and wall coverings for site-specific projects. We work with interior designers and hospitality clients to create unique pieces that celebrate local environment, history and culture. From large-scale reception area focal points to guest room accents, our design process starts with thorough in-house research of cultural and historical context, and is informed throughout by the property s unique story. We pride ourselves on the end result artwork that is thoughtful, relevant, and of course, stunning. 10 11
CUSTOM & STOCK TEXTILES Cricket Radio thrives on collaborative design. Designers come to us at every stage of the process, some with a very specific idea they want articulated, and others with a theme and a color way that we use to develop their bespoke pattern from there. All of our custom patterns are screen printed on our stock fabrics 100% linen, or a linen/polyester blend or sourced on an alternative fabric from our mill in Spain. Some designers select an existing pattern, which we may rescale and print in a custom color. We have a diverse library of patterns to choose from that spans a wide range of geography and themes, from nautical to urban to mountain lodge. These patterns are screen printed on our stock fabrics in the customer s color of choice. Our fabrics are used for shower curtains, bed runners, decorative pillows, small upholstery projects and more. We cut, sew and print at our studio in Vermont. While we are able to offer low minimums on these finished items, we currently do not offer printed yardage under 500 yards. 12 13
CASEGOODS & ACCESSORIES We have introduced a line of headboards, beds, side tables, consoles and accessories that will further enhance our custom product offerings and greatly expand the collaborative process with our clients. These products were created around our unique resin panel system that can be easily customized with the clients designs and colorways in mind. The versatile look of the resin and different finishes make these components able to fit with many room styles. Our products all use VOC-free resin that we pour on site. In addition to the resin panel headboards, we also offer non-vinyl faux leather and other upholstered options. 14 15
