PERIMETER PROTECTION Aritech have for many years been recognised as a market leader in the commercial security market. The performance of the mirror based PIR s and dual technology detectors, as well as the highly performing CD range of control panels and support equipment, has maintained our leading position as the preferred supplier to the professional security industry. Perhaps not so well publicised is that Aritech have also for many years been active in the perimeter security segment and have built up an excellent reputation as a supplier of innovative perimeter detection products. Many customers today recognise the need to identify potential intruders at the perimeter, long before they have had the opportunity to cause damage or theft. Perimeter security however is not only limited to the high profile applications of airport / power stations / prisons / bond warehouses / distribution centres / car parking / etc., but also in general commercial and high end residential applications. In discussion with customers, it can be seen that applications are as varied as the imagination. It is our aim therefore to provide you with the innovative products required to take best advantage of these opportunities. With this in mind, we currently support the market with two different technologies: 1. A COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF AIR Active Infra Red beams are ideal for the detection of either casual or deliberate perimeter intrusion. Unobtrusive, yet with a high probability of detection and virtually no nuisance alarms, AIR beams make an ideal choice for a wide range of perimeter protection applications. 2

Intelli-FLEX the intelligent fence sensor Intelli-FLEX is an outdoor perimeter security system that really works! Intelli-FLEX uses advanced microprocessor technology in combination with a unique, proprietary coaxial cable detector mounted on chain link or weld mesh fences. By analysing the various signals that are generated by the proprietary sensor cable in response to fence activity, the Intelli-FLEX signal processor s Adaptive Algorithms can differentiate between environmental conditions and genuine encroachment including: Attempts to cut through a fence Attempts to climb over a fence Attempts to lift the fence fabric Attempts to penetrate a wall, ceiling and roof The Intelli-FLEX signal processor provides failsafe detection circuitry and calibration capability for two completely independent zones. Although pre-programmed for typical intrusion scenarios, the microprocessor s detection parameters can be easily modified on-site to any local conditions and security requirements using a separate, hand-held plug-in programming module. Easy to install and easy to use, Intelli-FLEX is a reliable outdoor security approach that really works. The Intelli-FLEX system is a low-cost solution for demanding security applications such as airports, correctional institutions, military bases, power plants, communication sites, and other commercial and industrial facilities. Intelli-FLEX is the Worldwide Standard in Smart, Outdoor Perimeter Security Systems Intelli-FLEX is the latest of a range of high-end perimeter intrusion detection systems and is the most reliable fence disturbance sensor on the market today. Intelli-FLEX System Operation Each Intelli-FLEX zone (two per processor) can be connected to up 300 metres of proprietary sensor cable. This length of cable will protect approximately 275 meters of 2.5 meters high fence. In most cases, facility perimeters are configured in shorter zones to match CCTV assessment capabilities and to allow rapid response to the area of intrusion attempt. For long perimeters, multiple zones of the Intelli-FLEX sensor can be monitored and controlled over copper or fiber optics using the Intelli-FLEX signal processor's built-in multiplex communication.

System Supervision and Self Test Individual zones report any damage to the sensor cable, or tampering with the signal processor by associated supervision alarms. A terminator, located at the end of each zone's sensor cable, permits the signal processor to supervise the integrity of each zone. An optional remote test terminator not only performs this function, but also generates a simulated intrusion signal in response to a central command. The remote test terminator tests and verifies the performance of the entire Intelli-FLEX sensor. These tests can also be initiated at each signal processor location using the hand-held plug-in programming module. "Listen-In" Audio Assessment Module Intelli-FLEX offers a unique and beneficial audio option. The microphonic properties of the sensor cable allow direct audio listen-in assessment of possible breaches to the protected perimeter. A simple audio module, designed to drive a long line such as a telephone interface, can be inexpensively added to any Intelli-FLEX signal processor. Install Intelli-FLEX for years of effective operation Installation of an Intelli-FLEX system is quick and easy. The proprietary sensor cable can be directly attached to the fence fabric using UV-resistant tiewraps, or installed in conduit. There is no need to weave the cable in and out the fence. The sensor cable is a high quality, high performance transducer designed specifically for long term outdoor operation. The recent addition of the new Digitalk 2000 (a series of intelligent quad AIR beams) ensures that Aritech products maintain a leading edge over the competition and provide the very latest innovative solutions. SYSTEM PERFORMANCE What determines the performance of an AIR beam is the understanding and quality of 3 main system parts: 1 The Transmitter/Receiver elements Quality, high powered infra-red emitting diodes are used, operating at 940 nm, just above the spectrum observable through the human eye. 2 The optical system chosen One of several optical solutions may be used dependant on application/range. The optical physics of the Aritech beams using mirror and lens or parabolic mirrors are all well understood and optimised for system performance. 3 The signal processing Custom microprocessor control, incorporating the experience gained over the past 20 years, ensures excellent detection yet is insensitive to sunlight or other false alarm sources. Air New Product Development Considerable behind the scenes development has now resulted in both new and upgraded products. Many of the Aritech AIR beams have had their electronics significantly improved with respect to RFI rejection, line induced interference, lightning rejection etc. For those of you familiar with the specification and coding of our AIR beams, we have simply coded these beams with a suffix N for New. The technical advances however on our latest family of quad AIR beams deserve a new reference - the Digitalk 2000 series. Developments include: higher efficiency and higher powered AIR transmitters/receivers, sophisticated processing, simple and precise mechanical alignment, user friendly LED power display, wireless display accessory for one man alignment and much, much more. Supported by a wide range of accessories, we believe we have the AIR beam for your needs. DO 505 / 505M DG 2100 / 2100M & DG 2200 / 2200M NEW The DO 505 has twin beams, from transmitter to receiver. Both must be interrupted simultaneously to generate an alarm. This results in a very high immunity to false alarms while maintaining an excellent detection performance. Two high capacity transmitter diodes generate simultaneous pulses of IR energy. The parabolic mirrors are hermetically sealed in providing high performing optics. This barrier combines sophisticated technology with easy mounting and efficient operation. DUAL BEAM OPERATION HEATING ELEMENTS SUPPLIED STAND-ALONE AND PILLAR VERSION (M) RANGE: 100 METRES INDOORS / 75 METRES OUTDOORS The DG 2100/2200 units are highly featured with built-in fog disqualification circuitry, 4 field selectable channels available as standard, built-in signal strength meter and heaters. Available in both stand-alone and pillar-versions (M). It incorporates 4 powerful AIR-beams per system.
